Chapter 21: Neteyam p.o.v

"Dear Metkayina clan members." I heard Tonowari speak as he had gathered the entire clan here for a feast to celebrate Ao'nung and mine choice to mate. The people watched us as we stood aside the Olo'ekytan "My son has found the man he wants to spend the rest of his life with. So I am proud to announce that my son has decided to mate with Neteyam the son of Toruk Macto."
I held my breath afraid of the reaction of the clan but all my worry was for nothing as our people clapped and celebrated the news. I saw my siblings in the midst of the people. Lo'ak looked like he was still processing what Tonowari had said, Tuk was smiling brightly clapping the hardest and Kiri gave me a wink. I felt Ao'nung grab my hand making me look at him.
"I told you it would be okay." He whispers in my ear.
"You did." I smile
"Everyone we prepared a celebration meal to celebrate this great news." Ronal, now my mother in law gestures to the food she and my mother prepared with a few others "Go enjoy yourselves."
The clan then started to disperse making their way over to the food while other went to congratulate us first.

After dinner everyone was still in a festival mood so the musicians played their instruments and a happy melody started making a few of the Na'vi get up and dance. "How come you never told me about you and Ao'nung." Lo'ak asks "We used to tell each other everything, I even told you about my feelings for Tsiyera."
"Everyone knows about how you feel about my sister in law." I wink.
"Omg." Lo'ak gasps "Later we will be family by blood and through marriage, so weird to think about that. But don't go changing the subject, why haven't you told me."
"I don't know." I tell him honestly "He bullied you when we first came here and I don't know if you would accept him as my mate."
"bro." Lo'ak shakes his head "As long as he treats you well, I won't have a problem with it. But if he hurts you let me know and I will hurt him."
"then I am glad I won't hurt him." Ao'nung joins us while carrying his five year old sister.
"I am holding you onto that." Lo'ak fist bumps my soon to be mate then we were interrupted by Tuktirey who smiled brightly "Brother shall we dance together, I know how much you love to dance."
"Pop off bro." Lo'ak pulls me up before pushing to the dance floor.
I shoot Ao'nung and pleading look but he just laughs at me. I stick my tongue out to him to which he shakes his head amused. "You should rile him up." Tuktirey says "Dance sexy for him."
"Tuk you are thirteen." I scoff "what are you saying."
She shrugs before running of with lo'ak leaving me alone between the dancing crowd. I lower my eyes as I look at Ao'nung through my eyelashes. I could see him swallow even from the distance. I started dancing letting my hands slide over my body to the rhythm of the music trying to tease him. I noticed it was working as he put down his sister and stood up ready to walk over to me, but before he could take a step a loud noise was heard. I looked up at the sky to see one of the sky people aircrafts coming at us but I saw the missiles it shot at us too late and after that I was surrounded by smoke, heat and the screams of people.
