She comes stormin' through the door, and I know she's upset. Other than slammin' my doors, I can see it in her eyes.
"What 'appened, Sweetie?"
"Dad!" Oh dear. What's he gone and done now. "He yelled at me! And told me ta come home. He realises I'm a grown fuckin' woman, right?" She rants as she paces the room.
"Yes, Sweetie. 'E's got a lot goin' on right now, I'm sure 'e di'n't mean it. 'E worries 'bout ya. I know 'e's ova protective but -"
"He needs ta listen to me!..What is his deal with, Soul, anyway?" She stops and asks. I don't really know how to answer that.
"Wha' d'ya mean?" I ask.
"Urgh! Why won't anyone give me some fucking answers! I know you know." She growls, but she's startin' to breathe too quickly.
"Babygirl. Ya need ta calm down. Why ya so worked up for?" I say goin' over to her and rubbin' her back as I start countin'. She brings her wrists to her nose like she always has done and starts to take deep breaths. "That's it. Take 'im in." I know she made her bands with strips of Soul's top. I know it's the smell of him that calms her down. I've always known.
These two were meant to be together. I knew it the second I saw them both in the same room that the moment they laid eyes on each other, their souls had decided for them, they belonged to each other.
"I need ta get back ta work. I'm… I'm gonna have a quick shower. I think maybe I…" she trails off lookin' sad, like she's decidin' somethin'.
"What, Babygirl?" I prompt.
"Maybe it's time I went home." Gus telling her to come home doesn't sound like reason enough to go home to England.
"Ya don't mean that. I thought ya mom 'n' brothers were gonna come for a visit in a couple mon'hs time 'n' -" I don't want her to leave. She belongs here. She belongs with Soul.
"I don't know. I'm so confused. Did you know Sarra was Soul's sister? I've been driving myself insane thinkin' she's his girlfriend."
"You what?" I asked, shocked. She's not serious. Surely she knew.
"Yeah. Turns out no one ever referred to her as his sister, so I automatically went with her being his girlfriend." She explains.
"That actually explains a lot." So she has even more reason to stay. We'll, once I've had a word with Gus, that is.
"So, what did Soul talk ta you about?" She asks. I don't wanna lie, but I don't want her upset with either man.
"Err. 'E jus' wan'ed me ta speak wi' Gus 'bout some club business." She's really ramblin'. Her head must be all over the place. Maybe it's somethin' to do with when she was hurt, because I don't understand why she's talkin' about leavin'.
"What business? I didn't think we were allowed to know club business." She mocks, doin' air quotes with her fingers.
"To a degree, that's correct. But Soul needed me ta talk some sense inta Gus-"
"Can you do the same for me then?... I love him, he's been good ta me, and I consider him my dad, that won't change. But…" She presses her fingers to her head like she has a headache, then she puts her hand down, "No. Forget it, I'll leave. It will stop all the trouble I seem ta cause." She then turns to the door.
"Kyara, where ya goin'?" I ask her.
"For a shower, before I go insane. I have a headache. Then I'm going back ta work. Tell dad I wanna speak to him, because I am not ok with him speaking to me like he did." She says walkin' off. "He ruined what was bound to be the best kiss of my life!" I hear her grumble. What have those boys done to her? I walk over to my cell on the table and call him.
