⚠️TriggerWarning⚠️

Soul

"Soul?" I turn back to her, 'cause she doesn't sound right, and it's not just because of the smoke probably cloggin' her lungs, or me shoutin' how stupid she is for tryin' to save me. She's lookin' down and she shows me her hands, and all I see is red. No! She was hit!? I rush to her and she has blood on her shoulder, but there's blood everywhere! I check but that son of a bitch put his property cut on her, so I pull it off of her and see she has a wound there, but there's also an exit wound. I lift her dress to check the rest of her, thinkin' the blood on her dress is from her hands bein' there but I was wrong.

The worst kind of fear slams into my chest when I see a hole just above her stomach and below her ribs, and my heart stops. No. Please God, no!

"Kaaydeeenn..." She slurs, pressin' her hands to her stomach, as her eyes start rollin', and she tips forward. I catch her in my arms and turn her so I can press my hands to the wound.

"DOOOOOC!" I scream for him. I need to get her out of this smoke-filled room, but then I'd 'ave to take my hands off her stomach, and I can't fuckin' do that! Her body starts to go limp and her eyes start to close.

"Tiny! Don't ya dare close your eyes. Stay wi' me, Baby!"

"I-I... Love... Y-y..."

'KYARA!" I roar when she trails off. "No. No. No. No. No!"

"Soul...Cough.... We need to... cough...move 'er outside... Cough." Gus says from beside me.

"I can't move 'er, she's been shot! I need Doc! DOOOOOOC! I NEED -"

"I'm 'ere."

"What took ya so fuckin' long!" I snap, as he presses somethin' to her shoulder, and then wraps it, while coughin'. I think I'm in shock because I don't know what to do other than be mad that he took so long.

"Ya fuckin' took off 'n' then the walls exploded! I 'ad ta find another way around." He growls back and checks her face.

"Doc, 'er stomach. She's been shot." I tell him and his eyes widen.

"Why di'n't ya fuckin' say that! Move your 'ands." He growls, but I can't. I'm holdin' my life in my hands right now. If I let go, I could lose them. "Soul. I need ta see 'ow bad it is."

"I'm gonna lose 'em," I whisper brokenly.

"Permission!" He barks at me.

"You always 'ave it,'' I tell him, and he calls Blaze over. "I need ta know if there's an exit wound, look 'n' tell me." Doc pulls her from my arms and I panic, goin' to reach for her again when Gus and Dwane grab my shoulders and keep me from grabbin' her so Doc can do his thing.

"Nothin' 'ere, Doc." Blaze grunts, as he helps him lay her down.

"What does that mean!?" I growl, tryin' to keep my eye on her and shove Gus and Dwane off me. I need to be at her side, they need me. Doc ignores me, feels around her side and then sighs. He grabs some shit out of his bag and does somethin' to her side, while the room somehow starts to clear of smoke.

"Is she gonna be OK?" Ryder coughs from be'ind us, as I watch on in fear, growlin' at Gus to let me go.

"I don't know. For now, I'm just tryin' ta stop the bleedin'." He grumbles, and Gus starts pullin' me away. I shove him off of me and move beside her.

"What can I do? Are the babies -"

"I don't know! Let me save 'er life first." He snaps at me. I take her hand and hold it to my face, it's covered in blood but I don't care. She's so limp and cold.
