Sylvia's POV

"Paano kayo nagkakilala ng ate ko?" Hindi ko mapigilang itanong habang parehas naming pinapanuod ang kapatid kong binabati ang ibang mga guest.

The way they look each other kanina, it seems like matagal na sila magkakilala.

"Didn't she tell you that we were classmates before?" 

No, mukha rin namang hindi inaasahan ni ate na ito ang balak ipakasal ng sarili naming mga magulang sakin. She became busy after she was invited to several run away walks abroad. And yep, my sister is a model, now nagaaral nalang ito ulit sa Germany as a BA Fashion Design and Marketing Student, that's how much passion she has at her current field.

Which I'm proud of. Dahil alam na alam niya mula pa noon kung ano ang gusto niya.

"We were classmates during our Junior High Days, it was just a one year that we both got in the same section, but it was hell for both of us. We were rivals in class especially during math and science competitions. In fact, we hated each other." I saw a glimpse of happiness in her eyes, but there was more into it.

"Did you like my ate?" Deretso kong tanong, nanlaki naman ang mata nito na nabigla sa sinabi ko.

She scoffed. "What? Are you crazy? Of course not, the only girl that I had ever like was Portia."

As always, it's my cousin again.

"Malay mo lang naman." I shrugged. "Masyado ka ng connected sa blood line namin, nakakailan ka na ah." Sinubukan kong magbiro saka tumawa.

"Are you saying that I'm a slut for being close with the three of you?" She got offended, rolling her iconic eyes after. Kung hindi lang talaga siya maganda ngayon ay sumimangot na ako. Napaka over thinker talaga ng babaeng to.

"You're not a slut, Elise. Just to clarify that, what I meant is that you've been connected to my family for a lot of years. Magmula sa ate ko, sa pinsan ko papunta sakin. Isn't that too much coincidence?" 

"What are you implying? But I'll give you a benefit of the doubt for that, although if there's a one theory that could be sign of truth, it would be because our families are tied in a strong bond connection within business."

Right, business.

"Wala ka bang balak pigilan ang mga magulang natin na ipagkasal tayong dalawa? It's not like we love each other, we even hate each other. As a matter of fact, marriage is supposed to be sacred, not an orphanage tree who are supposed to give another chance for a failing procedure of family planning."

Ang hindi ko lang maintindihan sa isang to ay parang go with the flow lang siya. Whatever comes with the mind of her parents ay para siyang tuta na sumusunod lang. She's not young for pete sake, at her age papunta palang siya sa peak ng career niya. I even heard from Atty. Agatha na kasalanan ito ng tatay niya kung bakit pabagsak na ang kompanya nila.

So, why is she letting him get inside of her head? Dahil ba magulang ito? Dahil ba sinasabi nila sakanya at pinapasok sa kokote niya na if it wasn't for them, she wouldn't be there? Because that would be a bullshit, in the first place, we didn't even give them our go signal to give birth at us, it's not like ginusto naming mabuhay.

The first time na nakita ko lang ito na umapela sa mga magulang niya ay yung time na gusto na nila kaming ipagiisang bahay.

"I do have a plan, but not for now."

"What do you mean?" I tried to take a sip from the wine pero nagulat ako nang bigla niya itong hablutin at tinapon ang laman sa may grass sa likod.

Umawang naman ang labi ko sa ginawa niya at inismiran lang niya ako kaya halos gusto ko nalang siya ibalibag at itapon sa ere pero sa isip ko nalang ginawa yon.
