'WHY DID I GO TO SCHOOL?!' Tokumei screamed in his head. He looked at his desk, avoiding eye contact with anyone else in the class. 'I SHOULD'VE JUST WENT ANYWHERE ELSE! No calm down Tokumei Sistemu! ... Maybe if you become friends with a girl... You can trick your sister into thinking you actually have a girlfriend! Now I just have to look for options-'
He raised his head. Only to slam it back down onto the desk really loudly.
'NO YOU CAN'T DO THAT- DON'T TREAT WOMEN LIKE THAT. YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER DAMN IT. I swear, I just REALLY wanna dieeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,' he wiped the tears from his eyes. That and the massive bump on his forehead. 'Goodbye my social media accounts. It was nice knowing you.'
"Alright class 2, it's time for us to introduce ourselves," the teacher announced.
'God, Buddha, Thor, Zeus, Susanoo, Set, please strike me down with the fastest and most painless lightning you have right now,' Tokumei clasped his hands in prayer.
"Let's start at the back shall we?" the teacher definitely had an evil grin in Tokumei's head after she said this.
'THE LIGHTNING BETTER BE FASTER PLEASE!'
"Starting from the girl at the back!"
'AT LEAST IT'S NOT ME!' Tokumei's head perked up with a smile. He then turned his head to the girl he didn't notice on his left.
'Oh she's... I don't know her name. I feel like I should apologize,' Tokumei got depressed again.
"Hi-hihihihiii-hihihi- I'm uh hihihihitototoriiiii gogototootou," She was glitching in and out of existence. An ability Tokumei only thought he had. No way... was she... just like him? No. No way. Everyone is just a social wreck during the first day of school since no one knows each other. He might as well help out.
"Hitori Gotoh is what you meant to say right?" Tokumei explained out loud.
The girl nodded. She breathed a sigh of relief and pumped her fist in achievement. She... didn't really do anything though. Tokumei began to observe her carefully. She's got pink hair, blue eyes, an adorable blue and yellow cubed hairpin, wears a tracksuit...
'Oh is she an athlete then? That probably means she's out of my league. Wait is that a guitar? OH NO. SHE IS OUT OF MY LEAGUE,' Tokumei looked away from her once he realized his green eyes made contact with her blue eyes.
'She's probably going to be popular later on. I mean she's definitely the type that has multiple varying hobbies and is pretty good looking. I don't have a chance. I'm just better off being her classmate and nothing more.'
"And now... (Redacted) would you like to introduce yourself?" The teacher asked.
Author: Yes I'm never letting you know his real name haha
'GREAT JOB IDIOT. NOW YOU MANAGED TO BRING HER ATTENTION TO YOU,' Tokumei cursed himself. Nevertheless, he stood up, scratched the back of his head and tried to be as cool as possible, "It's a pleasure to meet you all. I'm (Redacted), but my nickname's Tokumei. I might be a diamond in the rough, but once you get to know me, you'll never get enough!"
'WHY'D YOU USE A V-TUBER'S CATCHPHRASE TO INTRODUCE YOURSELF?!'
'I DON'T KNOW, I HAVE ONLY TWO BRAINCELLS AND ONE OF THEM IS WAY TOO FOCUSED ON MY SOCIAL ANXIETY!'
'YEAH THAT ONE IS ME AND I'M VERY SOCIALLY ANXIOUS RIGHT NOW!'
Tokumei sat down. He clearly got some looks from the class. Some of them were actually genuine surprise and intrigue. Some were indifferent. Some were cringing. However, in his head, he pretty much views everyone as cringing at him.
He didn't pay much attention to everyone else. He was done with his introduction. He has nothing to think about now.
Except for the fact that Hitori was staring at him.
'Why's she staring? Does... does she want to converse or... I mean I don't want to, but I guess I have to...,' Tokumei breathed in and out. He looked at her again. She immediately looked the other way. With a smile, he asked, "You're a guitarist right?"
"...Ye-yeah," She could barely blurt out.
"Oh. Do you know Guitar Hero?" Tokumei mentally curses himself for being capable of conversing with people thanks to the internet.
Hitori looked at him, with immediate interest. She looked down at the floor before whispering, "Yes."
'I can't believe that worked,' he thought to himself. 'Quick, don't lose the conversation!'
"Have you seen her latest video? It's pretty good. I never knew she could cover the entire Shark Kick OST. Have you seen the anime adaptation though? It's so good-"
"I uh... Only know the OST," Hitori replied.
"Oh," Tokumei went silent. 'This is hopeless...'
"Are you a subscriber to Guitar Hero?" Hitori perked her head.
"One of the first people I subscribed to honestly. It's a shame that she doesn't post as often, but I know she's too busy practicing for the next cover-"
"Ahem, Tokumei, Hitori... Your classmate is introducing himself," the teacher interrupted.
"Ah. Sorry Sensei!" Tokumei gave a small chuckle. "Just trying to make a new friend and all!"
"You two can get to know each other better once you've got free time," the teacher then turned towards the standing classmate. "Carry on."
"You... consider me as a friend?" Hitori whispered.
"I guess so. What? You've never had a friend before?"
"...Yes," Hitori's soul left her body and she slumped on her desk.
"...Ah...," Tokumei looked to the side and ignored the fact that she was slowly turning to dust.
'Don't you dare tell her that you relate!'
"Do... you wanna be friends?" Tokumei extended his hand.
"Yes. Please," She turned back into a human and her soul immediately retreated back to her mouth. She nervously extended her hand. It was even trembling in a way.
"Alright then," Tokumei shook her hand. "Looks like we're friends now, Hitori."
"T-thanks. Tokumei," Hitori retracted her hand.
