Author: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE- Alright, we're not following that-

"I... still suck," Tokumei breathed in and out. He was on the verge of fainting again. It's their third practice already and that was being judged by Seika again. Honestly, he'd very much prefer it if he fainted. At the very least, he could have a valid excuse as to NOT perform tonight.

"No. That was good enough. It'll do for now," Seika crossed her arms. She then began preparations for the performance. "Get ready for the actual performance already, the customers are pouring in."

"At least our part of the live wasn't cancelled-" Nijika sighed in relief.

'DARN IT WE ACTUALLY HAVE TO PERFORM!' Tokumei and Hitori thought. They were the first ones to rush behind the stage to actually ponder on whether or not it's not too late to bail. How many people were there? I mean it's got to be at least more than 10. So 11. Even then, that's still bad. That's like one third of a classroom.

"Hitori, Tokumei! You guys have to-" Nijika said before Ryo shushed her.

"Let them be. Us single people can't understand," Ryo smirked.

Hitori began to glitch through the entire stage once more. Tokumei dragged her back to the stage with a red face. Embarrassed, he said, "She's not my girlfriend-"

"And yet, you'd like to marry her," Ryo countered.

"It was a hypothetical!" Tokumei argued.

He then looked at the people watching on stage. Some of them were whispering. Most of them were women. They weren't enough to even fill the entire stage actually. Some of them were on their phones. Some of them were drinking. Some of them were actually looking at them. Those eyes... They reminded him of...

He felt nervous. Sweat began to fall from his brow. It was from practice. Nothing else. He's not nervous. He's not. He's not. He... can't... disappoint...

'YOU'RE A DISAPPOINTMENT-' Those words rang through his head.

'YOU'RE AN ANIMAL,' Those words that should never be said.

'WHO ARE YOU TO LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT? WHO ARE YOU TO TALK LIKE THAT?' Why was he remembering those words now of all times? It's making his head hurt. He wants to cry. He wants to give up. He wants to just...

'YOU SHOULD NEVER BE PART OF A BAND ELSE YOU'LL END UP LIKE HER. A FAILURE IN EVERY WAY.'

'WHERE DID I GO WRONG...?'

"You can do it," PA-san pat his shoulder twice. It was enough to snap him out of it. "You're my brother. Aren't you supposed to be a part of a band? Just like me?"

"But I... if I end up like you then..., they'll say that... I...," He wanted to punch her. If it wasn't for her, then he wouldn't have been called that. If it wasn't for her, then he wouldn't be here in the first place. If it wasn't for her, then... maybe he'd never have been the neet he was today. What good has she ever done for him anyway that outweighs every single-

"Forget about them. You're not going to become me. You're not PA-san. You're Tokumei Sistemu. You may be a failure in their eyes..., but to me. You're my greatest success," PA-san gave him a hug. It didn't get rid of the trauma... No. However, it did lead him to see things a lot more clearly.

Right.

His sister's all he had.

And if he's a disappointment for going down her path...

Then he just has to double down to make himself something worthy to be proud of.

As long as he's got someone he holds dear...

He'll make them proud.

He'll make them happy.

He'll do whatever it takes...to make sure what little love given to him won't be put to waste.

"Thanks sis," Tokumei muttered. She let go of him. He walked to the mic. Took it off the stand with his left hand and said, "Hello. Hi. Um, I'm new to this whole thing. So forgive us if we make some blunders here and there... But... We're Kessoku Band and... well we hope you like this song. It's called... That Band."

"One.. two... One, two, three and four!" Nijika slammed her drumsticks together and with a boom, her drums echoed throughout the live house. It helped Tokumei remind him of his heart beat. It keeps him from drifting off in his own head. Hitori and Ryo began to strum their respective guitar and bass. It soothed him in a way. Almost made him want to practice the guitar as well.

Still, he brought the mic close to his mouth. He had a determined look in his eyes and with a smile, he sang:

-

"That one band's songs to me sound just like a melody
Of painful, intrusive, strident ear-piercing laughter all around me
That band's songs are to me are just like a melody
Of how familiar the sound of a train crossing can be

Oh, don't you dare, push me right there
For there's a train and it's gonna blare

If I shut my eyes, there will be a halo in the dark
If I cover my ears, let my heartbeat be loud and stark
Right here in my chest, my own heart begs me to dance
I won't give any other sound a chance
Nothing but my own sound that puts me in a trance."

-

Author: Wow, I tried to practice my own lyrics and even then it's hard to sing along-
