"I'm sorry that we weren't able to catch the maid cafe," Kita strolled through the street light decorated streets with Tokumei. It was already 8 pm. They ended up spending a lot of time at the karaoke because Tokumei wanted to make sure to make the most out of it. Not to mention, the food there was pretty good.
"Don't be. I had a lot of fun," Tokumei reassured.
"You keep dancing around like an idol though. It's kind of cute, but... judging from your reaction... You don't want to be called that huh?" Kita pat him on the back. She could've sworn she saw his soul leave out of his body but that must've been her imagination.
"It's my point of reference. I don't really watch any other people dance... so...," Tokumei shut himself up. He can't let her know that he's a massive simp. Well, maybe he's already told her indirectly anyway. Might as well accept it and punch himself in the bed later on.
"Tell you what, I can give you some stage performance tricks," Kita immediately looked like a goddess to him. She's exactly what he needed.
He bowed in front of her, "Thanks a lot. I'd need it." Raising his head, he asked, "Also uh, why do you like Ryo so much?"
Kita's eyes sparkled with glee. She blushed as she fondly remembered her beloved senpai. She began to show him pictures of Ryo that's she has saved up on her phone. The only reason why Tokumei isn't blinded right now is because he's squinting his eyes in disgust, "She looks so good, she's so classy, she's so handsome, she's so hardworking with the bass and she's so wild and daring. Ah, do I want to be her daughter so baddddddddd"
"...You sure you don't want to be her girlfriend?" He jokingly asked.
"EVEN BETTER. Although...," Kita looked at him with a jealous pout.
"Why are you looking at me?"
"Even I'm not that lucky to serve her dinner. If you're putting that extra effort to someone you've became friends with just recently then..., looks like I have a romantic rival!" She pointed at him. With determination, she said, "There's no way I'd lose the war for Ryo's affection! Not to you and not to anyone!"
"I like Ryo, but not in that way," Tokumei scoffed. He lied. He knew that. He actually has a sort of crush. He's just wayyy too tsundere about it. His logic is just making sure he doesn't end up being Ryo's slave for the rest of his life.
Then again, maybe it's just because he's never really had a female friend after Nijika. Maybe he's just so lonely that he's mistaking basic time spent on him as affection? Who knows? Even he doesn't know.
Maybe he just had some sense of appreciation. It's not like a crush. Hitori's the closest thing he has to one he guesses. It was sudden, but he sure did like her. She's a clumsy dork, who can be pretty cool once she's playing the guitar. She looked pretty good for someone who's barely even able to look at anyone in the eye. Not to mention, her guitar playing gives him nostalgia for some reason.
Still, he had to make sure Kita doesn't hate him. So he said, "I have someone else in my heart. Hitori Gotou. My classmate."
Kita was surprised. Normally, dudes would keep quiet about their crushes. Or at least they would until they'd find someone to keep it a secret. Either that or find the courage to confess. "Wow. You're honest. Are you going to tell her?"
"Not yet."
"Ehhhhhhhhh? You sure?" Kita teased.
"It's not that I don't want to make things awkward. I just don't want... I don't know... I'm just not sure about it yet," Tokumei scratched his head. "Love's confusing. It's my first time falling in love with someone in my reach so..."
