Class was over. Thankfully. However, Tokumei didn't really feel like going to the mall immediately to feed Ryo some ramen. He's still got time before 6 so he just decided to walk with Hitori back to her place. With her consent of course.

"Do you just have multiple track suits or do you just wear the same one over and over?" Tokumei asked while muching on a tuna mayo sandwich.

"I uh, wear the same one... No. I mean I have multiple- I uh... I don't stink do I?" Hitori tried to sniff her jacket. She could've sworn that she took care of it. Oh no. What if she didn't? What if she was so used to her own stinky scent that her nose failed to register it as bad?

Oh no, oh no, oh no.

"Do you want me to check if you smell bad or not?" Tokumei asked.

Hitori flinched. Did he seriously just ask that? Well, she's not going to let him smell her right away that would be gross.

'WHY DID YOU ASK THAT IDIOT?'

'I DON'T KNOW.'

'We're gonna die alone and unloved.'

"You know what? Forget what I just sai-" Tokumei stopped when he noticed Hitori didn't have her jacket on. His eyes eventually landing on her... cough cough. I'm not saying this. With a red face, he looked away, "Ah, sorry."

'Oh no.'

'OH YES.'

'SHUT.'

She handed him her jacket. "Please check."

He nervously grabbed the jacket and looked away. He made sure to just keep it a safe distance away from his face and then take a whiff. He smelt nothing. Thankfully-

"Nope. It's good to me. Please put it back on," He handed it over back to her.

"Thanks," Hitori wore her jacket once again and zipped it back up. Tokumei watched intently as the jacket covered up her... well you know what it is.

'Oh my god, those anime were right. Jackets are magical.'

'Hitori was cute, but damn. I think she's hot now.'

'Zip.'

"Well, let's never talk about that again... Uh, oh yeah? You have a guitar so like are you part of a band yet?" He dodged the subject, hoping to get what happened previously out of his head.

"N-nope," Hitori shook her head.

"Oh right, we're both friendless- I mean we've got each other-" Tokumei made sure that his words didn't cut through her heart.

Unfortunately, it did and Hitori went back to being dissolved into salt. She muttered something along the lines of, "Maybe if I turned into salt, I could be useful for once. Maybe even purify this introverted curse that I was born with."

"You're not cursed. I'll make sure that you'll feel blessed that you have someone like me in your life!" He tried to scoop her up to prevent her from falling through the floor boards.

"Eh?" Hitori turned back to normal.

"I'll be your best friend if I have to! As long as I'm around, I'll make sure that your dreams will come true!" Tokumei was just doing damage control at this point. He knows full well that he can't be friends with Hitori forever but he just really wants to punch his past self for always being careless with his words.

"Th-thanks," She smiled weakly.

"Oh right, I don't have your number. You want to trade so that we can-" He brought out his phone and went to his contacts.
