"You ready?" I ask.

"One second." Milli clips the helmet below her chin.

"that's cute."

"What?"

"Nothing," I say. It's kind of big on her head since it's my helmet. Though I just ordered one for her because I know she secretly enjoys my motorcycle even though it's dangerous.

"They said they're going to start investigating." Milli adds, and she throws her leg over the back of the seat. "There's a chance they might not fire him, but still it's a start!"

"Hey that's really good news," I say, giving her a second to get situated and wrap her arms around my waist. "He'll get fired, I have a gut feeling."

"You think?"

"For sure. If all of those people are boycotting that class, someone's richass parents are gonna complain." I say.

"That's a good point," Milli answers.

I start the loud engine and I slowly pull out of Hyunjae's driveway. It's been a few days since we went to Seoul that night, and we're both technically still suspended, but it hasn't been that bad. For me I liked being away from school, and all those crowds of people. I know Milli's been kind of upset about it though. She doesn't like to talk or complain, but I know she misses going to leadership clubs and being on campus.

At first her grip around me is tight, sometimes if the bike goes too fast she squeezes my stomach and I stop breathing for a second, but I don't tell her that. Eventually, she always relaxes against the back of me. I don't remember what it felt like to ride the streets alone, because I can't imagine her not being here with me.

I hear her take a deep breath in and out as we head down the long road towards the coast. A lot of people prefer traveling by car so you can listen to music or just hear the other person talking. But for us, just being with each other is enough.

In no time I park into the mini parking lot facing the beach. It's the one we've been to a few times, though it always seems like a breath of fresh air.

"The weather is getting nicer," Milli comments as we walk down the sandy hill towards the shore.

It's true, there are a few more people starting to come to the beach now that it's getting to be spring.

We walk around for a minute, and I trail a bit behind her, watching her look out to the sea, shading her eyes from the sun. I wonder what she thinks when she looks out there. I don't see any boats or people, she's simply happy watching the same water that's always here.

"Do you know what day it is?" I ask over the sound of the waves crashing.

"Tuesday?" She turns around and stops walking.

"It's Valentine's day."

Her jaw drops. Her eyes widen and her hand falls to her side.

"Y-Y-you.... it's- oh my gosh." She says. "Are you serious??? I'm so sorry. I'm so so sorry, it completely slipped my mind I was so-"

"I'm kidding." I grin.

"You!" She scoffs and walks towards me.

I turn around and start running, though I forget that she's more athletic than me, and she easily catches up, tackling me to the soft damp sand.

"You're a jerk," Milli tsks.

"Valentine's day is tomorrow," I laugh.

"You really had me panicked because I didn't prepare anything!" She gasps.
