"Thank you for this day, Ly. I had fun!" Sabi ko sa kanya. It was already getting late kaya nagpasundo na ako sa driver ko. This was a day well spent of course with Ly by her side. She didn't know why the hell she said that she likes Ly. Hindi naman nagtatanong si Ly. Minsan talaga hindi ko napipigilan ang bibig ko.
I really find Ly cute not being able to react pero nalungkot din ako. Ly didn't respond when I told her I like her. Pero positive lang! Baka nga nagulat lang talaga siya!
"You don't have to thank me, Den. I should be the one thanking you for taking care of me." Ly said habang papalapit siya sa akin.
I remained silent.
"Uhm Den..." She said. Parang may gusto ata siyang sabihin. Kanina pa siya ganito. Parang may gusto siyang itanong. Pag tatanungin ko naman siya, sasabihin niyang wala lang.
"Ano ba yun, Ly? Kanina ka pa ganyan. Sabihin mo na." Sabi ko. I saw her hesitating pero she decided to speak up. Mabuti naman!
"Kasi di ba, we kissed? I mean, it means something. You only kiss the one you love. What are we exactly? What kind of relationship do we have? Kasi I don't want conflicts. I-I know we're more than friends. Friends don't kiss each other's lips. Pero we're certainly not a couple. Argggh! Sorry. Never mind what I said. Ahh good night! Take care." Sabi niya at tumalikod. I kinda tried hard not to smile when I saw this side of her. She was always the snobby type. As far as I know, sa akin lang tumatawa at ngumingiti si Ly. With the thought of that, kinilig ako. A lot of people told me na iyon ang obserbasyon nila kay Alyssa.
I grabbed her hand and forced her to face me.
"You're so cute, Ly I wanna kiss you right here right now!" Sabi ko sa kaniya. I was just teasing her. Through enough, namula siya sa sinabi ko. She stiffened. Ang cute talaga.
"Den naman eh. Pinagtitipran mo lang ata ako eh." Sabi niya.
"Hoy, hindi ah. I really like you. Totoo yun. Don't worry about the kiss. I won't avoid you, you know. Kung ano tayo? Yes, we're definitely more than just friends. Don't overthink, Ly. Hayaan na lang natin ang mga bagay-bagay. Let some things happen. I'm sure everything will fall into its place." I told her. I saw her nod. Nawala na ang hesitation sa kanyang mata.
"Uhm yeah. So good night? I think it's your car approaching." She told me as she was looking at my back. It was really my car approaching. My car I haven't driven yet.
I put my hand on her neck, checking if she still has a fever. Mabuti naman at okay na siya.
"Look who's overthinking. I'm already okay, Den. Ang galing kaya ng doctor ko." Alyssa said and grinned.
I also smiled. It was the first time I liked someone addressing me as a doctor. I wanted to be somebody else but sadly, I can't.
I tiptoed and kissed her cheeks. Ang tangkad niya kasi e. Nawala na naman yung ngiti niya at saka namula.
"Good night, Ly! Drink your meds and sleep early. Okay?" I reminded her. She nodded and smiled.
She walked beside me as I went near my car.
She opened the door for me and motioned me to enter. Ang cute talaga nito. Before she even closed the door, I stopped her.
"And no other girls beside me. Understand that?" I asked. Mamaya, bumalik pa si Bang. Papasukin naman niya.
Again, Alyssa smiled and nodded at saka sinarado na niya nang tuluyan ang pinto.
"Manong, let's go." I told my driver at saka umalis na kami.
She was looking outside unconsciously nang may mabasa siyang isang tarpaulin at isa itong ad.
"Text someone you love. But not while driving!" The ad says.
