You and Todoroki's practical exam against Aizawa took place in the mimic of a small town. Entering the deserted streets reminded you of where you grew up—except, this time it was peaceful. There was plenty of spaces to hide in case you wanted to escape instead of fight. You looked around. Previous to the exam, you had an idea in mind for how to defeat Aizawa, but you still had your doubts.
"Hello?" Todoroki asked, looking behind to see you. One of his hands was placed on his hip, "What's wrong, are you nervous?"
"No, not at all." You said, lying through your pearly whites. You crossed your arms over your stomach, trying to relax and remind yourself that everything will be okay as long as you are prepared for anything to happen.
"It's okay. With our opponent, I don't blame you. Don't worry. I have a plan in mind for us." Todoroki tried to reassure. As much as you thought your plan was going to get you a passing grade, you trusted Todoroki. The buzzer rang throughout the neighborhood, meaning the battle was about to begin.
"Team Todoroki and (Y/N). Practical Exam. Ready, go!" The announcement said, just adding onto the pressure.
Todoroki took your hand, guiding you through a series of alleyways. By this time, you weren't sure of what to do or where you were going. In all fairness, Todoroki should've told you the plan beforehand when you had that time.
"(Y/N), listen closely. I need you to take my quirk and keep using it in someway. When it stops, that means Mr. Aizawa is close by; my quirk will return to me since he cancelled only yours. Our success will depend on which one of us finds the other first. Once we spot him, I'll draw him to me. Then you can run to the escape gate and win this thing for us. Just stay close to me until then." The boy looked back at you, still in the dark alley. Todoroki held out his hand, saying in a rather calm tone, "C'mon. Hurry up and start using it."
"Alright. No problem." You said, slapping his hand. You started to form little icicles on your fingertips—they shattered on the floor one after the other.
Finally on an open street, the sun was beating down on you, the heat causing you to break a sweat. Todoroki kept running, staying ahead of you. He spoke, "Let me know if you notice your quirk acting strangely at all."
"I'd expect nothing less from you, Todoroki."
"What do you mean?" He questioned your words.
"You were able to come up with a plan to use against Aizawa so quickly. You knew exactly what was best as soon as we started. Almost reminds me of the battle against Stain." You praised, acknowledging his quick planning efforts.
