You arrived at Endeavor's agency early in the morning; he requested you be in his office by 6am. The strange request had you up pondering in the middle of the night. The building wasn't even open and running until 8am, so Endeavor gave you a spare set of keys to enter.

It was strange seeing the grand staircase at the center of the building dark and gloomy. Bright, beautiful chandeliers usually lit up the rooms of the building, making it feel more like a palace than an office. You closed the tinted glass doors behind you, locking it as you did so. You swung the loop of the keys around your index finger, making your way toward the elevator.

With the press of a button you were on your way to the very top floor where Endeavor sat, waiting for you to show. You leaned against the railing in the elevator, attempting to rub any sign of sleepiness from your eyes. You listened to the elevator's ding, watching the doors in front of you open to reveal Endeavor at his desk—this gave you major dejavú.

Without giving so much of a glance at you, Endeavor spoke, "Goodmorning, (Y/N)."

"Morning." You returned, taking your seat in front of him. He continued to type away, the clicks and clacks from the keyboard filled the empty silence in the room. "What did you need me here so early for?"

Endeavor sighed, finally peeling his eyes away from the screen to meet your dull ones. You scratched the top of your hand where your burn scar was, picking at the peeling the dead flesh. Endeavor almost felt appalled by your scar, hiding his feelings behind a facade of a stern glare. He could sense the hostility you brought into the room from being awoken at a ridiculous hour.

Endeavor closed his laptop, taking out an envelope and stack of papers from his drawer beside him. He pushed the bundle in your direction, urging you to read the files. You picked up the first page, skimming the text.

"All Might's former sidekick requested for help." As Endeavor said the previous Number One hero's name, he didn't try to hide the cringe in his expression. He was repulsed by the way it tasted on his tongue—something he doesn't like. He continued speaking as you flipped through the pages with an assortment of pictures and more text. "It concerns the investigation and takedown of the villain group Shie Hassaikai. With the League of Villains possibly involved, it's going to be an important job."

You nodded, understanding the seriousness of the situation at hand. "What's the plan?"

"We're still figuring that out. A number of Pro Heroes and your classmates have been invited to a meeting to discuss the mission—later tomorrow afternoon." Endeavor stood from his seat, his posture straightening as he did so. He kept the envelope in a tight grip between his meaty fingers. The man practically threw the mysterious envelope on the desk, sliding it toward you. "You have a letter."
