You knocked three times on the wooden door across the way from you in the hall. Anxiously, you waited for the boy to answer, hoping he was in his room and you didn't look dumb waiting for someone who wasn't there.

Your prayers were answered when the door cracked, then fully opened once he saw it was you. Todoroki smiled at the sight of you. Your hair was tossed back into a ponytail while you sported a long sleeve tee, simple jeans, and a jacket. His jacket. God, he loved every bit about that. It suited you better than it did him. Even if you dressed not to impress, he still found you very attractive.

"I just want to say thank you—for the other night. I know it was kind of awkward, but I appreciate how you were there for me." You bashfully looked at the ground, playing with the ring around your finger as you did so.

"Of course." Todoroki shrugged, leaning against the doorframe while watching your flattered state. He gently grabbed one of your hands, admiring the ring at first, then your fingers. His hands were rough compared to yours; they had calluses at the base of each of his fingers. He met your eyes for a brief second, only to focus them back on the lines crossing your palm, "Like I said, anything for you."

Butterflies erupted in your stomach, tugging at your organs and what not. You wanted to scream into your pillow like those teenage girls would in movies when they were so flustered they didn't know what to do with their feelings. Being with him made you feel like you were in a romance movie.

"Do you want to come in?" Todoroki looked up while still holding your hand in his own.

"No, it's okay." You couldn't help but feel regret swimming around in your gut as you declined the offer. Knowing that it might be awhile before you see him—but he didn't know that. Todoroki didn't know that you planned to put your life in danger by going to the League of Villains in search for help. You knew they were connected to someone who had the ability to jump through time by confirming on your web browser. It was surprisingly easier to access criminal files than you expected. You bit the inside of your cheek, debating on doubling back on your answer.

"Is something wrong?" Todoroki asked, the grip on your hand growing stronger. He tilted his head to the side, trying to read your expression, "You look stressed."

You fought back a frown, presenting him with a soft smile instead. You choked on your words, "I'm fine."

You pulled his hand, drawing him in for one last hug. He was taken aback by your sudden affection, hesitant to touch you. Todoroki was afraid that if he did, he'd break you—not physically, but by just looking at you. You were in a fragile state of mind right now because of everything that's going on and he didn't want to add anymore pressure to that.

You buried your head in his shoulder, smelling the sweet scent of vanilla and wood. You wanted it to last forever, but that was impossible. Tears threatened to slip from your eyes, however, you fought them.

Both of you pulled out of the hug and he could tell something was definitely wrong from your demeanor. Todoroki used his hand to lift your chin, boring into your eyes.

"Why are you acting funny?" He used the back of his hand to feel your forehead, checking your temperature. He rubbed his lips together before asking, "Are you sick?"

"No, I'm not." You chuckled at his question. You removed his hand, gently setting it in your own like before. His steely eyes watched as you bit your bottom lip, like you were hiding something. "I'm going somewhere."

Todoroki sat up from his leaning position on the door frame. "Where?"

"It's just for a bit. I'll be back before you know it." Your smile gave him very little reassurance because he could sense it was something he wasn't going to like. You reached your hand up for his face, brushing your thumb lightly against his cheek. "I'll be okay, I promise."

He mirrored your gesture, putting the hand opposite of yours to the side of your face. Staring a little longer than he should, he decided to pull in for a kiss. Electric shocks ran through his body as he felt you; skin on skin. Todoroki felt more energetic with each passing second the kiss went on.

Every time he kissed you, it felt like something he shouldn't be doing. But it felt good. You felt good. The rush of adrenaline hurling through his veins as you ran your fingers through his hair.

You stumbled on your own feet, pushing you both slightly into his room, only your back visible to the hallway. Your stomach coiled with excitement—the feeling of eating too many sweets hit you; anytime you were with Todoroki you felt like you were on a sugar high. You would choose this feeling over anything else every single time.

"Todoroki." Your lips pulled away, resting your heads against one another. Your hands rested on his shoulders while his rested on your hips, feeling every curve in your torso area. "I need to go."

"Are you meeting someone?" He asked, suddenly confused about your urgency. Todoroki's hands slipping from your waist, "Can I come?"

"Kinda—but I need to do this on my own." Your hands traveled to the hem of his grey t-shirt. You didn't look at him as you began to speak, "It's—"

"Dangerous?" Todoroki quirked a brow. When he didn't receive an answer he went deeper into his room, quickly reemerging with a gray jacket. He was about to plow through the doorway before you stopped him by putting your hands on his chest.

"It's personal." You said. Todoroki looked at you, trying to read your mind as if he'd unlock a new Quirk. What were you really thinking? If only he could take a deep dive into your mind. "I'll be fine. Nothing is going to happen."

"Alright." He really did want to believe you. He wanted to be satisfied with the knowledge that you were going to be okay. Todoroki sighed, giving you a stern look as he stared into the purest of eyes. "If anything happens. Call me. I mean it, (Y/N)."

You leaned in close, giving him a peck on the lips. You smiled, "You have my word."
