The night sky had finally set in, all peace was casted throughout the city. You walked down the streets of Hosu with a pensive expression with Todoroki by your side watching the cars pass by.
You looked up, seeing Endeavor's flames light the streets—they made him easily recognizable; kids of all ages pulled on their parent's hand, shouting that it's the number 2 hero, some would even get the permission from their guardian for an autograph, only to be refused by the callous hero.
All you could think of was the talk from earlier, which only confirmed your spiteful words to describe Japan's number 2 hero. Endeavor ignored you practically all night, he only ever spoke to talk to Todoroki. He was a selfish bastard, one who only cared for his ranking and the thrill of success.
"Watch out." Todoroki had said, pulling you by your arm closer to him. You felt a bump on your shoulder, it being a man in a business suit—you quickly shouted an apology to him, feeling bad for not paying attention to your surroundings. Todoroki released you from his grip, "Are you okay? You looked deep in thought."
"I'm fine." If you were being honest, you didn't want to tell Todoroki what his father had said to you. You didn't want him to feel any remorse for something that his dad did. "I just spaced out for a second."
"What were you thinking about?" He asked, seeming genuinely interested. You truly did find it unusual, everyone says he's a quiet and closed off person, but with you, he just talks.
"School." You lied.
"Really? How're you liking it?"
"It's only been a week or so, but all of this is more overwhelming than I thought it would be." You expressed. You were being honest in this moment. School did get to you, heroism is not an easy thing to execute.
"To be fair, you joined almost halfway through the year, but you did it through recommendation. Which is impressive."
"Stay back, kids!" Endeavor shouted, casting a blaze to a large figure in front of you. The creature's bloodcurdling screams rung throughout the streets, causing the public to run away from the danger. The fiery hero continued, "I was looking for the elusive Hero Killer, but this thing will have to do." A much older short man stood aside, shielding his eyes from the scolding fire. He looked almost frustrated because of Endeavor's interference.
Todoroki tapped your shoulder, distracting you from the masacre happening before you two. He turned your head to make you look down at his phone—Midoriya had sent his location. It looked to be in a back alleyway of Hosu.
