You scoffed at the ignorance of the hero in front of you. Endeavor stalked the streets of Shizuoka, disregarding the civilians who watched in awe, especially those who had the courage to ask for an autograph. To ease the rejection, you smiled at them, usually earning one back.

You caught up to Endeavor, your small frame compared to his was notable to the public. They all wondered who you were, especially since you looked so young. The silence between you and the Flame Hero was thick, it was times like this that you missed Mirko. She always made something serious fun in her own way and you liked that about her. Mirko actually cared for her country, she tried to help anyone no matter how it affected her.

"Why don't you talk to the civilians?" You asked, continuing to watch as he walked with a stoic demeanor.

Endeavor allowed an annoyed sigh escape, "I don't have time for that nonsense. I'm here to get a job done not socialize and make friends, (Y/N)."

"You mean time to reassure society that you're a trustworthy hero that actually cares for their well-being." You spoke, he looked taken aback. Thirty minutes of silence since you two started patrol and you were already picking an argument. "Talking to the people is part of the job. Assuring that you are there for them means everything to the people.."

All Endeavor could do was scoff at your childish outlook on heroism. How did he even get his Hero license if this is how he treats people? It was a complete mystery. Maybe he was different back then. His reticence remained for the majority of the job until one of his assistants from the agency spoke into his ear piece.

"Wait, I'm getting something—"

"Sir, there's a bank robbery currently taking place on Asakusa and Jinmu street." Endeavor nodded to you, signaling for you to follow his lead as you both sprinted towards the bank.

It wasn't very far. You could see cops with plastic shields to protect themselves and civilians. The negotiator was holding a megaphone, calling out to the perpetrators inside.

As far as you could see through the glass windows, there were five bankers being held hostage and three customers. They were all aligned at the counter with cloth used as a gag in each of their mouths and their hands tied behind their backs. One of the criminals used a pistol as a threat to the hostages in case they or the police tried anything. The other walked around the bank, collecting cash and anything else as valuables.

Endeavor started walking past the line of officers, but the chief of police stopped him from going any further. His black hair was slicked back under his campaign hat. The bushy, greying mustache under his nose covered the entirety of his top lip. The chief's mustache moved as he spoke, "You can't go in there. Not yet."
