You went to the police station later that day to tell them your account of what happened. You didn't want to cause panic amongst your classmates or the rest of the mall. There, you sat in a cold, dark room. On the table in front of you was paperwork—a lot of it. Across from you was detective Tsukauchi who was taking notes as you spoke. You gave the detective a run down of the occurrence at the mall.

"I admire your bravery, (Y/N)." He gathered the papers in his hands, hitting them against the table to make them nice and neat, placing them in a beige folder. Tsukauchi scratched the nape of his neck, "From what you've told me, it doesn't sound like this league was completely unified. There was Shigaraki and a gunsman—though was have no idea where they would have been hiding. However, we now know you have a target on your back."

You looked down at your hands, squeezing them shut from the disappointment you felt. "I just wish I could've stopped him and ended it all right there."

"Don't be silly! You held it together while he was threatening the lives of you and other citizens. Keeping calm was the best thing you could've done in that situation. It's thanks to your level-headedness that no one got hurt." The detective's eyes wandered down to your bruised neck, he retracted his statement. "Well, almost no one. Recovery Girl can take care of that bruise for ya when you get back to U.A.."

With that last sentence, Tsukauchi stood, followed by you. You both walked out of the room, nearing the exit of the police station. Waiting for you outside was Hawks and Mirko next to a black limo. As soon as Mirko saw you, she ran up and hugged your body; it was hard to reciprocate because of how tight she was squeezing with her muscles.

She whispered into your ear, "Im so sorry I wasn't there to save you."

You immediately backed out of the hug, speaking to Mirko in a normal voice, "Don't be sorry. Besides, how could you have known Shigaraki decided to come out of his hermit shack and take a trip to the mall."

Hawks smiled, "At least you're alive and well, kid." His face recoiled after seeing the bruise ring circling your neck. He lifted your chin high into the sky to get a better look at it. His facial expression instantly changed to anger, "The next time I see that motherf—"

Mirko quickly covered Hawks' mouth, refraining he let out any curse words around your ears. She laughed, "That's enough Keigo. Thanks, Tsukauchi, we got it from here now."

Tsukauchi spoke once more before he turned back to the police station. "That kid you have there is going to do great things. Have a goodnight, guys."

"Goodnight!" The three of you shouted back in unison.

Hawks opened the limo door for you and Mirko, stepping in after you two had gotten comfortable in your seats. You sat next to the bunny hero, while Hawks sat across, a stone cold expression had crossed his face. The car raced off to the school dorms.

"I don't think it's best you continue at U.A., (Y/N)." He stated blatantly.

Both you and Mirko looked at each other with shocked expressions. Mirko was the first to speak up, "But we fought so hard for her to get into that school, half-way through the year."

"It's not safe."

"So, what? She can handle it." Mirko stated proudly, stomping her foot against the floor of the car. You felt like you were watching your parents fight, preparing to divorce one another.

"What if one day she can't? We can't always be there for her." Desolation fell over his attitude. It felt like they were arguing without acknowledging you were even there. "It's our duty as Pro Heroes to keep others safe."

"It's also our duty to—" Mirko started, but stopped once she heard you speaking up for yourself.

"Shouldn't I be the one to decide?" You questioned rhetorically. "Besides, neither of you are my legal guardian, it should be my decision. And I'm choosing to continue at U.A.. The people I've met there are incredible; it feels like home. No way am I losing another stable environment because of one villain."

"Fine." Hawks crossed his arms and looked outside the window as the car began coming to a stop. You weren't going to lie, the seriousness in his tone previously nearly had you considering of speaking out, but you were determined to stay at U.A.. He spoke, "We'll talk more later. Goodnight, (Y/N)."

"Come on, I'll walk you to the gate, pumpkin." Mirko spoke in a saddened tone. She closed the door only after you climbed out after her. "I'm sorry he's like this."

"It's not his fault. I can see where he's coming from, but I—" You bit your lip. The cool wind hit you like a kiss from a summer breeze. "I can't imagine myself anywhere else at the moment."

By this time, you had reached the gate, you and Mirko turned to face each other. She grabbed both of your hands, squeezing them tight like she did when she hugged you.

"I promise I'll convince him one way or another. He's in one of his moods." She said. She looked at the school dorms, seeing a hallway motion censored light turn on from one of the windows, then the lobby light. "You better get going."

"Can you tell Keigo I'm sorry?"

"There's nothing for you to be sorry about." You sighed hearing this statement. "It's just men being men."

You laughed, nodding your head. This gave Mirko a smile. She loved seeing you happy, it's all she ever wanted. She pulled you in for one last hug before letting you go.

"Goodnight, (Y/N)."

"Goodnight, Mirko!"
