Ruby Winchester

Chapter Three

Ruby was now 8, the last two years she and Bill had trained and figured out her condition. She began dreaming about her family and feeling when they got hurt, they found out it was an ancient blood magic that bound her to the Winchester bloodline. She was also afflicted with a rare supernatural condition called Ectoplasmic Infection when Ectoplasm gets into someone's blood.

Ruby was in the library with Bill, looking for a first hunt to go on. Bill had taught Ruby everything he could and told Ruby he would let her start hunting if she took him with her. Bill was looking at newspapers while Ruby used the library computer.

"Found one Bill, Fallon Nevada. People are claiming someone that looks just like them attacks them and steals their personal belongings." Ruby said, turning to Bill.

"I don't know, Sounds like a Shapeshifter. I would prefer something less dangerous for you." Bill said, looking at the information.

"I'll be fine, let's take it," Ruby said confidently.

Before Bill could speak, a younger kid that had gotten to know Ruby ran into the library, "Ruby, it's Tommy! Some high-school kids are beating him up." The young boy said.

"Show me," Ruby said, standing up.

"I think he's gonna cry guys," a heavy boy said as he pushed a 12-year-old Tommy to the ground.

"Just leave me alone," Tommy said, not wanting to fight back.

"Or what your little Freak of a Girlfriend will curse us with her ghost!" A tall and skinny boy said mockingly.

"Don't insult Ruby!" Tommy said, getting angry.

"Oooo guys I think I hear the calls of his dead mother! She's telling us that she is disappointed in you!" The heavy boy teased before kicking Tommy in the stomach.

"HEY FUCK FACE!" Ruby yelled as she covered the younger kids' ears. She then uncovered the kid's ears. "Go home Brian, I'll take care of this." She told the kid.

The kid left as Ruby walked closer to the two boys tormenting her friend. Tommy smirked as he saw Ruby was pissed, she had become a very intimidating girl over the last two years. The bullies began snickering at Ruby, not scared of her, a choice they would soon regret.

"It's Tommy's creepy girlfriend! Watch out for the curses!" The heavy boy said while laughing.

"Break his nose," Bill said to Ruby as he watched the cruel bullies.

Ruby smirked as she stood in front of the heavy boy "Tommy, are you hurt?" Ruby asked while glaring at the heavy boy.

"I'll be fine, nothing broken," Tommy said getting off the ground.

The heavy boy then went to push the smaller and younger girl thinking he had the advantage. That was his biggest mistake, Ruby stepped into the space between his arms and gave a well-placed kick to his knee, and the boy fell with a thump. Ruby wasn't done as she punched him in the face while he lay on his back in shock, the sound of a hollow thud followed by a cracking sound proved she broke his nose.

The heavy boy let out a scream and the tall boy ran scared. Ruby turned to Tommy who looked at her in amazement. She smiled at him and pulled him into a hug, her head only reaching his chest as she was much shorter than him.

"You are a terrifying short girl" Tommy joked as he hugged Ruby.

"No one is allowed to hurt my best friend," Ruby said into his chest.

Tommy messed up her hair wondering how she could be so scary and cute at the same time. Tommy knew he was falling in love with Ruby but he doubted she felt the same. She probably saw him as more of a brother.
