Ruby sat on the couch and looked at Bobby "Can I go? You can't keep me here forever."

"20 Ghouls! And a reaper! You're not hunting this time." Bobby said sternly.

"I survived didn't I?" Ruby said with a smirk.

Bobby was about to say something when Dean called him. Bobby left saying something about catching a poker game. Ruby waited until he was gone and then left herself, she has a case in mind.

Ruby checked into her motel in a small town in California. People around the town had been going missing. It was a small town named Yreka.

Ruby sat in her motel room looking up all the information "12 missing, cops don't care cause it's mostly tweakers."

Ruby began plotting the locations trying to figure out a pattern. She saw all the disappearances were behind a local park in the forest. She would have to do some more research into the town's history, but she had a few ideas of what this was.

Ruby went to the town library to find out about its history. After a few hours she chuckled, she knew exactly what was in the woods. Wendigo, it made sense, people going missing was its food.

Ruby went back to her motel to start to figure out how to hunt a Wendigo, she hadn't run into one before. She would call Bobby, but he would definitely tell her brothers this time. Her phone rang, it was Dean, she couldn't ignore it.

"Hello?" She said into the phone.

"Where the hell are you, Ruby!?" Dean yelled into the phone.

"Road trip" she lied.

"I told you to stay put!" Dean yelled angrily.

"Bobby left to play some poker game, so excuse me if I didn't want to stay in a house alone," Ruby said while rolling her eyes.

"Are you hunting?" Dean asked seriously.

"Of course I am, I'm a hunter," Ruby said with a laugh.

"Where are you?" Dean asked in a commanding tone.

"Find your own hunt," Ruby said before hanging up.

Ruby continued her Research, she had something to kill after all. However, she didn't know that Dean was currently tracking her phone. She would have company soon.

Ruby held her bag tightly, she didn't know how far she would have to go. She was used to forests so getting back wouldn't be much of an issue. The issue was finding the Wendigo, then setting it on fire.

However Ruby was a hunter and knew how to set traps, she just had to outsmart the Wendigo. Half a day of walking later Ruby set up a small camp. She didn't need to sleep, however moving in an unfamiliar area in the dark wasn't smart.

Ruby set the campfire and waited for the morning. As the night went on the Wendigo tried to lure her out with screams and voices. Ruby knew better as she stayed near her fire in silence.

She was getting close to its lair, it was now hunting her as well. Daylight came and she moved again, this time avoiding traps set by the Wendigo. It went on like this for 2 more days, both hunters at a standstill.

Ruby then found the lair on the 4th day in the forest. She was getting tired but couldn't sleep, sleeping would be the end. She entered the old mine shaft on the side of the mountain.

"Your house is stupid!" Ruby yelled out as she walked further in.

She needed to see if anyone was still alive, plus she could use its lair as a trap. She moved quickly and cautiously as she searched for any signs of life. She found two people, injured and unconscious, but alive.

"Hey! Wake up!" Ruby exclaimed shaking the big-looking man awake.

He opened his eyes quickly and looked around alert "Who are you? Where am I?"

"Im Ruby, thank god I found you, wake her up. It will be here soon" Ruby said in a Commanding tone.

"Her who?" He said before looking at the woman next to him "Oh God Leona!"

He shook the woman named Leona awake "Five more minutes Nick" she said sleepily.

"Nice to know your names, we have to move now, are you both able to walk?" Ruby asked, pulling a bottle of kerosene out of her bag.

"What in the hell is going on?" Nick asked as he helped Leona to her feet.

"There's a Wendigo coming for you two, and I'm gonna torch the fucker." Ruby said with a smirk.

"Wendigo, like from the Supernatural books?" Leona asked, confused.

"The what books!?" Ruby asked in surprise.

"The Supernatural book series that follows two brothers that hunt monsters," Leona explained.

"Their names wouldn't happen to be Sam and Dean Winchester by chance?" Ruby asked in disbelief.

"Yes, that's them!" Leona said she was obviously a fan.

"This is extremely awkward" Ruby muttered as she started to lead the pair deeper into the mine.

"Why?" Nick asked, he was Suspicious of the redhead.

"Cause that's my older brother's names," Ruby said as she began pouring the kerosene behind them.

"That's cool!" Leona said not fully comprehending the danger they were in.

"Wait a minute, how old are you?" Nick asked noticing how young Ruby looked.

"18, but don't worry, being young doesn't make me a bad hunter," Ruby said as the Wendigo came into view.

The Wendigo stopped smelling the kerosene and Ruby smirked. Ruby lit up a cigarette and walked towards the kerosene as she smoked, taunting the beast to try to cross it. The Wendigo took the bait rushing at Ruby, she quickly flicked her lit cigarette into the kerosene and torched the Wendigo like a burnt marshmallow.

"Let's get you two home," Ruby said turning back to Nick and Leona.

Ruby watched Nick and Leona drive off as the Impala pulled up. An angry Dean got out of the Impala followed by a worried Sam. Ruby took out a cigarette, she was way too tired for this.

"A fucking Wendigo! You could have been killed!" Dean yelled as he walked over to Ruby.

"I haven't slept in 5 days, please yell quieter," Ruby said as she smoked.

Dean sighed and checked Ruby for injuries "Did you kill it?"

"Torched him," she said putting out her cigarette.

"You need to stop doing this," Dean said with a sigh.

"Not gonna happen," Ruby said before waving at Sam.

"Dean, maybe we can take her with us?" Sam asked realizing Ruby will keep hunting regardless.

"Not a chance in hell Sammy. Ruby will be a normal kid!" Dean exclaimed.

Ruby just got on her motorcycle and drove off as those two argued. She really needed to sleep. Ruby flopped on her motel room bed and passed out, sleep felt so enjoyable at that moment.
