Chapter 27

Ruby followed her brothers into the hotel and looked around confused. There were people dressed like her brothers, and people she had seen her brothers fight. She even saw a sweater that said 'Got Salt?' She decided she was picking up one of those before leaving.

"What the hell?" She asked, confused.

"It's a convention, Ruby," Dean said annoyed.

"Don't tell me... those books are actually about you guys?" Ruby asked in disbelief.

Dean gave her an annoyed glare, Ruby just started laughing. Sam also gave her an annoyed look. Ruby just shook her head and walked away to look around.

She bought the sweater and put it on. It was too good to not get. She put the sweater on and could see Sam roll his eyes at this.

"Don't be like that Sam, this sweater is perfect," Ruby said, sticking her tongue out at him.

Becky walked over towards Ruby "So you're their little sister? Can I ask you some questions?" Becky asked excitedly.

Ruby looked at Sam and then Becky "Yeah, let's go sit down" Ruby said.

As soon as Ruby sat down Becky began asking a million questions. Sam and Dean decided to listen as Ruby didn't tell them much about herself. Ruby blinked at the barrage of questions so Becky decided to slow down.

"How come you don't show up in the books?" Becky asked after deciding on a single question.

"Because I haven't been with these two for more than 4 months," Ruby said after a few moments.

"Why not? Traveling with Sam and Dean must be wonderful." Becky said dreamily.

"Because I honestly avoided them my entire life, our dad, John, tried to kill me 8 years ago. I thought they would try as well." Ruby said, noticing Sam's anger.

"Are you a hunter?" Becky asked

"For ten years now, Bill trained and raised me for it. He was like my dad" Ruby said.

"How old are you?" Becky asked.

"Eighteen, I'm a child compared to these too." Ruby teased with a smirk.

Before Becky could ask any more questions, the convention intro started. So the group headed into a room with a stage.

Ruby stood in the back with her brothers and watched silently, it started with a man explaining event times. Then Chuck came on stage extremely nervous. After a few moments, he asked for questions and people raised their hands.

Ruby laughed at some of the Questions until the hook man dressed guy asked about Ruby. She gave Sam and Dean a confused look. Before Ruby could ask Becky was yelling at the hookman.

Ruby left the room after that point, Chuck kept looking at her, making her uneasy. Ruby went to the bar and ordered a shot of Whiskey. That's when a man dressed as Dean walked up to Ruby.

"Hey sweet cheeks, why don't you and I go for a joyride in my Impala," the Dean wannabe said.

Ruby looked at him in bewilderment "Does... does that actually work?"

"It does for Dean, and today I'm Dean," he said with a confident smirk.

"This is wrong on so many levels," Ruby said before downing her Whiskey and walking away.

"I see you're more of a Sam girl!" He called after Ruby.

Ruby shuttered at this "Oh that's so gross, I didn't need these mental images" she muttered to herself.

That's when Ruby heard a scream, and true to her inner hunter she ran towards the scream. She ran into her brothers already there, it took her a few moments to realize this was part of the convention. Ruby let out a snort as she snuck away catching a glare from Dean.
