Sam and Dean were cornered, demons about 20 of them. Dean had the demon knife but Sam was injured. It was just supposed to be a simple haunting but instead, it was a trap.

"Don't worry boys, you are just the bait" a demon said walking towards them slightly.

"Who are we fucking bait for?" Dean asked angrily.

"Someone we lost long ago, we recently found out that she has been watching over you two from afar." The demon said

"Is this a demon or an angel?" Sam asked, confused.

"Neither, this is a teenager. With gifts, we gave her when she was a child." The demon said, smirking. "We thought it would be hard to find her but since her family abandoned her she was easy to find. The hard part is getting close."

"So some kid has been running from you bitches her entire life?" Dean asked angrily.

"You met her three years ago." The demon said enjoying messing with the brothers.

Sam and Dean heard demons screaming outside of the room. Someone was fighting them, someone good. Words of Latin could be faintly heard from behind the door and then silence.

"She's here," the demon said, motioning for the others to get ready.

The door was kicked open and a red-haired teenager stood there holding a Supersoaker. Her blue eyes looked pissed off and her face had a smirk. She wore a black leather jacket, a Metallica t-shirt, ripped jeans, and black combat boots. Sam and Dean recognized her from the Asylum haunting three years ago.

"Kid?!" Dean exclaimed in surprise.

"Ruby Winchester in the flesh." A demon said.

"Keep my name out of your demon mouth," Ruby said angrily.

"Winchester?" Sam questioned looking at Dean "you don't think?"

"Aww did you not know? You're the family that abandoned Ruby here" the demon said.

Before any more could be said, Ruby shot the demon with the Supersoaker. It screamed in pain as she did, it was full of Holy water after all. Ruby then charged at the demon pulling out her iron knife.

Sam and Dean took advantage of the chaos and began fighting themselves. Dean killed a few demons while Sam tried to subdue them. Then Ruby began speaking Latin, demons screaming as she sprayed them with holy water so they wouldn't run.

Soon all demons were taken care of and Ruby dropped her Supersoaker. "Alright my job is done, later," Ruby said as she started to head towards the exit.

Dean quickly grabbed her arm "not so fast, Ruby was it?"

Ruby glared at Dean "let go of my fucking arm right now."

Dean let go in surprise at the sudden hostility. Ruby took a deep breath attempting to calm herself down. Sam walked closer to Ruby watching her carefully, that was a trauma response.

"The demon said your last name was Winchester," Sam said watching Ruby's reaction.

"And? What should it matter what my last name is" Ruby said with a shrug.

Sam and Dean looked at each other confused "but what if you're related to us?" Sam asked.

"Then that would be the reason I came to save you," Ruby said leaving the building.

Sam and Dean followed her "so is what that demon said true?" Dean asked skeptically.

"If you want to believe it," Ruby said with a shrug.

Sam and Dean were even more confused, they didn't believe Ruby was related to them. However she also wasn't confirming anything, it was getting frustrating. Ruby then pulled out a cigarette and lit it up.

"Are you even old enough to smoke?" Dean asked in surprise.

"Stop acting like you care, Dean," Ruby said angrily, glaring at Dean. "You fucking forgot about me."

"Listen there is no way in hell you are related to us so you need to stop calling yourself a Winchester," Dean said angrily back.

"I don't call myself shit! It's not my fucking fault that is my last name!" Ruby yelled back as she put out her now fully smoked cigarette.

"Likely story! You're just trying to use me and my brother!" Dean yelled.

"You're just like fucking John" Ruby spat out, getting on her motorcycle. "Don't worry I'll stay the fuck away" she started her motorcycle and drove off.

"Great going, Dean! She's gone and we have even more questions." Sam said to Dean.

"Then let's find her, we know more this time," Dean said to Sam.

Ruby walked into her motel room angrily. Bill watched her silently, he stopped saying as much over the years. He was worried for Ruby but she had become self-destructive and reckless, often leaving Bill behind as she did what she wanted.

Ruby laid down on her bed "im so fucking tired of running from demons"

"Then tell your brothers the truth," Bill said, watching Ruby.

"They won't believe me, a damn demon told them my name and they thought I was going around pretending," Ruby said sadly.

"Get some sleep Ruby, it's been a few days," Bill said softly.

"Alright, Bill" Ruby said, closing her eyes.

Dean woke up in the middle of the night, his mind racing. He remembered what happened 13 years ago, he remembered when Dad abandoned Ruby. He held his head feeling like an absolute jackass.

"I forgot her... how could I forget her?" Dean said out loud.

Dean shook Sam awake "what's wrong Dean?" Sam said tiredly.

"Ruby is our sister, I forgot about her. But she's our sister, dad put her in foster care." Dean said.

"If that's true then we are her only family. She's out there alone" Sam said, waking up.

"I know Sammy, I can't let her be alone anymore," Dean said

Sam got out of bed "she acts like you, I'll check for any motel rooms under any rock band names." Sam said opening his laptop.

"We have to find her Sammy, it's my fault she's alone if I hadn't forgotten about her," Dean said pacing, he was worried.

"I found her, she's a two-hour drive away under the name Leddie Zeppelin," Sam said showing Dean.

Dean just left the room quickly, and Sam followed. Dean may have forgotten his sister but he wasn't going to let her be alone anymore. She was his family after all, and family was all he truly had.
