Stiles looked around the living room one last time, giving Talia a thin, uneasy, smile before falling into her footsteps and who he guessed was Derek's father.

"What business could that guy want with mom and dad? He's human." Laura wondered as she eyed her family, none of them paying any attention to the tv any longer as they sat in confusion after the three had left.

"Your mother has done business with humans before." the dark-skinned woman noted in a light voice.

"Is it really about business though?" Derek asked, resting his phone on his lap and looking at his older sister. "He seems a bit young to already be doing business."

"Not really," Laura told him. "there are a lot of people his age already working, Der."

"He's weird." one of the twins commented and Derek nodded in agreement.

"Did you catch a name?" Derek asked his older sister and she nodded before telling him. "Who the fuck names their child Stiles?"

"You know what's weirder? He looked as though he knew me." Laura mumbled with a frown. "He told me he had come here to find us."

"He knew me too." Derek told her and everyone looked puzzled. "I don't know him. Like, at all. Mom didn't look surprised though."

"Mom always knows more than everyone else." the second twin said, the first one nodding along his brother's words.

"Do you think he's here to bring trouble?" Derek asked.

"I'm not sure." Laura said, sighing. "I can't tell if he's a threat or not. Something about him feels off. Like I should know who he is. He smells weird too. There’s something oddly familiar about his scent."

"I noticed." Derek agreed. "He doesn't look like a threat to me though." he said, thinking back to his encounter with the stranger in the kitchen earlier and the way the older boy had laughed.

He hadn't looked threatening to Derek.

"Never underestimate the enemy, my dear nephew."

As Stiles followed the two, heading further into the hallway, passing by the staircase and turning into a corridor that stood behind the staircase to the right, he couldn't help but admire his surroundings.

The walls were still a light colour, nearly white with intricate mouldings on the ceiling. It had castle vibes if Stiles was being honest.

It was really fancy.

The complete opposite of what the brunette had been used to seeing of the remains of this house.

They walked to the last door at the end of the corridor and opened the door to an office.

Talia and her husband's office, Stiles supposed, as he entered, looking at the gorgeous wood carvings around the room. It was nearly entirely made out of wood and it was stunning.

Talia and Connor walked behind the desk where two wooden chairs stood and sat down, gesturing for the brunette to do the same on the chair facing them.

"So," Connor started as he eyed Stiles sitting down. "who are you again?" he asked with squinted eyes and the brunette was about to reply but was beaten to it by Talia.

"Stiles Stilinski." she said and the man blinked.

"Stilinski?" he asked and she smiled with a nod. "As in Sheriff Stilinski?"

"His son." Stiles spoke up and Connor raised a brow. "I know, it sounds completely insane but I'm actually from the future. I'm future Stiles Stilisnki, son of Claudia and Noah Stilinski." he said quickly and Connor remained expressionless.
