"What is he talking about?" Laura spoke up again when she got no answer, addressing her mother who was the only one aside from her father who didn't look completely confused. 

Talia and Connor shared a look, seeming to be having a secret silent conversation before Connor nodded once, earning a sigh from Talia. 

The woman turned to her family and cleared her throat. 

"You remember how Deaton has been spending a lot of time studying time travel?" she asked and they all nodded with a raised brow. "Well, Stiles here," she said as she pointed to the brunette pushing his food around in his plate. "is actually...from the future." she announced hesitantly and it was dead silent for a while before every one of them broke into a loud chaos, composed of questions shouted over other questions which were also shouted over other questions. 

Stiles was surprised by it and thought back to what alpha Derek had told him before he left. 

Technically, he wasn't the one saying anything to the rest of the family. 

So, it was fine, right? 

Derek wouldn't get angry at him for the others finding out.....right? 

It was too late now anyways. 

"Calm down." Talia tried to call over the noise but her voice drowned in the others before it could reach even the sensitive ears of the wolves. "Shut up!" she yelled and it was finally silent again.  "One question at a time, please." she told them with an eye roll which actually got a tiny smile from Stiles. 

She was definitely a Hale. 

"What year do you come from?" Laura was the first to ask curiously and Stiles looked up at her, placing his fork down on his untouched plate before folding his hands on his lap.

"2023." he replied and heard several gasps and surprised looks. 

"That's so cool!" one of the twins whispered to his brother who nodded in return. 

"I know, right?" his brother whispered. "Like what the actual f-"

"Caleb." the warning tone of his mother was enough to shut the boy up before he could finish his sentence. 

"Sorry mom." Caleb said, sending an apologetic smile her way and focusing back on Stiles. "Why did you travel back in time?"

"I c-can't tell you." the brunette replied, still struggling to speak a bit and Caleb pouted, visibly disappointed. 

What was the point of asking questions if they couldn't get any answers.

"You should have stayed there." Derek grumbled under his breath, loud enough for the human to hear. 

The wolf really couldn't help it. Everytime he looked at the human's face, he would hear his mother's sobs again. 

And it filled him with anger.

"Derek!" Talia said in a scolding tone which made Derek scowl and look away. 

"Yeah, future Derek didn't w-want me to come either." Stiles replied and everybody looked at him in surprise. 

Derek looked stunned. 

He hadn't expected to hear his name related to the brunette's future. 

They know each other?

"You know me?"

"Yeah.." Stiles sighed heavily, the brunette not looking all that thrilled about the piece of information and Derek took offence.
