"Humans are barbaric and uncivilised low class monstrosities." Jeremiah spat in disgust, eyeing Stiles briefly as if the sight itself was enough to make him throw up.

They had just been told Stiles was human, not having realised it sooner as the brunette was smelling more wolf than human with how much time he spent in a day with Derek.

That and the fact the brunette was pack, which meant he was scented over and over again by the pack members.

This was done in order for other wolves to be aware of the fact Stiles belonged with them. That was the reason why it was such a surprise to the guests that Stiles was in fact very much void of supernatural powers.

And it turned out Jeremiah held a hatred for the human kind.

How surprising.

"They should be put on a tight leash so that they don't try to attack us superior beings." he spat again and Stiles arched a brow at the statement.

"Is it me or did he forget who's the dog here?" Stiles asked in a not so quiet whisper to Derek who snorted through his obvious effort at holding back his laughter and the brunette smirked in victory at making the wolf laugh.

He will never get tired of this.

"You insolent bastard." Jeremiah growled, his eyes momentarily flashing red and he seemed baffled when the brunette didn't seem fazed by it.

"Oh, was I supposed to get scared of his almighty royal highness?" Stiles asked sarcastically and he felt a gentle hand on his thigh.

Derek was telling him to shut up through this gesture.

They all could see the prominent vein popping on Jeremiah's forehead from anger as well as smell it for the wolves and they didn't know how much longer the man would be able to hold back.

Thankfully, Jeremiah only growled back at Stiles and the brunette smirked in return.

Stiles rested his back against the couch and rested his hands on top of the wolf's, playing with Derek's fingers to distract himself from snapping at Jeremiah again who went on and on about werewolves' superiority over humans.

Somehow their fingers ended up laced together and Stiles stared at how wonderful his hand fit into the wolf's.

He liked the sight a little too much.

But it seemed Derek didn't dislike it either as when the brunette went to pull away, the wolf held onto his hand tighter to prevent him from going anywhere.

Stiles didn't say anything and held Derek's hand correctly again, his thumb rubbing circles on Derek's hands softly.

Stiles could feel eyes on himself and when he turned in the direction it came from, he saw Peter looking back at him with a knowing look on his face.

Peter smirked and mouthed 'Derek's your crush', watching the brunette scowl at him, his eyes telling him to shut his mouth and keep it a secret and Peter mouthed 'I've got you' in return.

And it looked genuine.

So Stiles mouthed 'thank you' and Peter smiled at him.

Never in his life would have Stiles expected to be this close to Peter of all people. The brunette was thankful to have been granted the opportunity to get to know this side of Peter. The side that is both kind and thoughtful, this happy and content side to him that completely disappeared in Stiles’ time.
