After leaving, walking all the way throughout the woods and back to town, Stiles' mind had calmed down and the fury had cleared up. It was already night time and he had nowhere to go. He was alone and there was no way that he'd return to the hale house after what had happened.
Walking aimlessly in the streets, it wasn't until he stumbled upon a hotel that Stiles stopped. The building was giving off a familiar vibe. And the brunette remembered that he had stayed there during his mission a couple of months ago. Thinking back to it, it felt like light years away that he'd done all this.
Patting his pockets, it was with a sigh of relief that Stiles realised he had his phone and wallet with him. With slow steps, the brunette brought himself to the front desk and got himself a room. When he got to the room and finally closed the door behind him, it was as if everything that had happened was crashing down on him and he collapsed.
Letting go of his restraints, Stiles cried and fell down, not feeling any strength left in his legs. It was as if the whole world had crumbled under his feet and he couldn't possibly find anything to stand back on. He was drowning in a sea made out of his own misery and there was no one to keep him afloat. Stiles was in despair. He didn't understand. He couldn't understand.
Why?
Why would Derek do this to him?
They had been so good together. Everything was perfect. They were happier than ever. But then again, it was always like that before Stiles was cheated on in the past. Everything would always be good and perfect and they'd be happy....until he'd catch them with another.
But Derek wasn't that kind of person.
He had been so sure of it.
He had believed in him.
Yet, here they were.
Stiles had never felt so much pain before. It was as if his heart was struggling to beat. It was struggling to keep him alive and so, the brunette felt like he was close to death. His chest kept feeling tight and his lungs burnt with every single breath he'd take. This shouldn't be happening....why was this happening to him? Stiles was confused and hurt and there was nothing he could do to stop it.
Dragging himself to the bed, the brunette laid there, burying himself into the covers and cried his heart out the rest of the night. It was on the third day that someone knocked on his door. Unable to find it in himself to open the door, Stiles remained immobile and quiet. He gathered that whoever had decided to come here would eventually understand that nobody was going to open the door for them.
But the knocking never stopped. It actually increased in both intensity and speed. Until finally, the brunette dragged himself out of bed and opened the door. It seemed as if the person had been scared Stiles would slam the door to their face as they pushed themselves past Stiles forcefully and entered the room. Unbothered, the brunette sighed and closed the door behind them before walking back to bed and hiding himself away again.
"Is that what you've been doing this entire time?"
"Go away."
"So that you can drown in your sorrow like a weak ass school girl? I don't think so."
"Go away, Peter." Stiles repeated and it was quiet for a while, until the brunette felt the bed dipping to his right.
"I know it hurts, Stiles." the wolf said. His voice wasn't as harsh. It held sympathy and sadness for him. For them. "But I think you should talk to Derek. You know him. I'm certain you know he would never do anything to hurt you. It's not too late to fix everyth-"
