"There's a reason why I asked Stiles if he wanted the bite." Peter said suddenly. They had all been talking about the past and they all realised that it was a rare occurrence for the Hale family members to do so. The pack consequently took this opportunity to ask many questions which had been stuck in their minds for a long time already. And the conversation led to the bites.

"You did what?" Derek asked with a raised brow. "When?" He said, confusion clouding his mind as he couldn't recall ever knowing about this piece of information.

"The night of his school dance." Peter answered and Stiles remembered it. What a memorable night it had been.

Not the best night he ever had.

"When you brutally attacked me, you mean?" Lydia butted in and Peter rolled his eyes in return.

"You need to move on." the wolf told her to which she scoffed at. "It's not healthy to hold grudges."

"Back on topic please." Derek said exasperated. "The bite?"

"Ah. Yes." Peter said as if only now remembering what they were initially talking about. "I asked him if he wanted the bite that night after I forced him to do a few things for me. Sorry about that, by the way." Peter said to Stiles who snorted and nodded his head as if to say he was forgiving the wolf. "He said no, of course. But...I could hear he was lying. He wanted it. And I already knew he did before asking."

"And how could you possibly know that?" Noah asked with an arched brow as he looked back at the wolf in annoyance. He had lost count of the times Peter had done something to his son. He didn't like hearing any more of these things. Especially now that they were all on good terms and it would only bring trouble for the pack if they were to argue about the past.

"Because he was supposed to get the bite from my sister which he never did." Peter told him after sending him an apologetic smile. "At least I thought so. At the time, I could still remember Stiles as a pack member of mine. As my family. I knew Talia was supposed to give it to him but as she wasn't there to do it anymore and I was an alpha at the time, I thought I could fulfil both of their wishes." he admitted for the first time. "For Stiles to become a wolf. Like us. But he said no that night and I remembered he wasn't the Stiles I knew yet. So, I accepted his refusal and went on with my life."

"How come I never knew about this?" Derek said as he glanced between Peter and Stiles, waiting for an answer.

"Uhh well," Stiles stammered a bit. "It just never came up in conversations so, I never told you?"

"You can't blame him for not saying anything to you, Derek. You guys weren't all that close at that time." Peter retorted and Derek glared at him in return.

"He's right.." Stiles said and it was his turn to be glared at by the alpha. "In my defence, a lot of things happened that night and I kind of forgot about it until now."

"Right." Derek said as he recalled that night's events and realised it was natural for Stiles to forget about it. It wasn't important compared to everything which had happened that night.

"Oh, talking about that," Peter said as he looked at the pack with a sarcastic smile plastered on his face. "Couldn't you have used something other than fire to kill me? I think that was a bit cruel now that were on the topic."

"Yeahhh, sorry man." Jackson said as he scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "Couldn't think of anything else. Actually, I don't even know why I was there. I followed Stiles."

"Well, I'm sorry." Stiles said, defensively. "I was facing something I had only seen in movies. Pardon my fears and thirst for quests. I'm a nerd, alright. This was a once in a lifetime chance to fight what looked to be a mystical beast." Stiles said before glancing at Peter. "Sorry. Don't worry though, you looked cool."
