"LAGI BA SIYANG ganyan?"
"Ganyan?"
"Lasing."
"Hindi naman. Minsan lang. Kapag gusto niya."
"Paano kung araw-araw niyang gusto?"
"Edi araw-araw rin siyang lasing."
Kuya Dom clicked his tongue, getting annoyed. I chuckled and then covered Freeda's body with my comforter. Kakatapos ko lang siyang punasan at bihisan. Lasing na lasing siya at nagsuka rin sa may toilet. Mabuti na lang doon ko siya dineretso kanina.
Tumayo ako at saka nilapitan si kuya na nakasandal sa may hamba ng pinto ng kwarto ko. I tapped his shoulder and smiled at him.
"She's fine. Don't worry about her."
He looked at me blankly. "Who told you that I'm worried?"
"Okay. You're not, then," pigil ang ngiting ani ko. Tinaasan niya ako ng kilay. I laughed. "Magpahinga ka na rin. Maayos naman 'yong guest room kasi hindi masyadong nagagamit. You can put your things on the side for a while. Magtatawag ako bukas ng pwedeng mag-linis at mag-ayos ng kwarto mo."
Kuya agreed and went back to the living room to pick up his things. Hinintay ko muna siyang makapasok sa kanyang kwarto bago ako bumalik sa kusina para magligpit.
Kakatapos kong maghugas ng mga pinagkainan namin ng kapatid ko nang makatanggap ako ng message galing kay Aniel.

Have you read the files already?
I wiped my hands before picking my phone up.
To: Aniel
Hindi pa.
From: Aniel
Read it. And tell me what's your final decision.
To: Aniel
Why do you want to pry with my decisions?
From: Aniel
I am not prying.
From: Aniel
I'm the head of the project. I must know if my team will be completed starting tomorrow.
I sighed and typed my reply.
To: Aniel
Give me time to review the file.

Fine.
Bumalik na ako sa kwarto pagkatapos. Nag-shower lang ako saglit saka nagbihis ng pantulog. Pagkatapos gawin ang night routine ko para sa mukha ko ay kinuha ko na ang folder saka dahan-dahang umupo sa tabi ni Freeda. She was snoring cutely beside me. Inayos kong muli ang kumot niya saka itinuon na ang atensyon sa babasahin.
I read the whole contract and the details about the project. It was almost perfect. The floor plan was completed. The construction team already reserved the materials needed. Nasa interior designs lang talaga ang may problema.
I scanned the references that the clients picked for their resort. Common designs lang naman ang gusto nila, pero may ilang color combinations akong hindi nagustuhan. I took note of those things para masabi ko sa kanila kapag nagtawag ulit sila ng meeting.
After reading and battling with my thoughts about accepting the project or not, kinuha ko na ang cellphone ko para padalhan ng mensahe si Aniel.

Wala akong sign pen.
He replied as immediately as I sent the message.

I'll bring one tomorrow.

Meeting's at 8 AM. Sharp. Don't be late. We have a lot to catch up.
