Kai POV

We were all so tired everybody slept into the next night, when Nia was woken up by a clamor outside

Nia: Hey, what the hell was that?!

I came out of my room

Dromarch: I cannot say. It sounds like some kind of disturbance...

Kai/Rex: Let's find out. Come on!

Rex started moving down the hallway to get out, only to almost run into Mythra.

Rex: Huh?

Mythra: What's that look for?

Kai: Back to normal already? Well I guess I shouldn’t be surprised

Rex: Oh, I was just… surprised to see you...

Mythra: You'd rather I was her?

Rex: I-I didn't mean it like that...

She turned around and crossed her arms.

Mythra: Hmph.

We headed outside, though Mythra, Rex and I hung back a little

Mythra: Hey, can I ask something?

Rex turned to her

Rex: You need permission now?

Mythra: Do you mind if I stay like this for the time being?

Rex: Like this...you mean, as Mythra?

Mythra: It hasn't been long since I woke up, and this is all new to you. We need time to adjust to using my power.

Pyra switched with Mythra

Pyra: She and I talked it over together. Mythra's power is much stronger than mine, but it has its limitations. It can be difficult to use in tight spaces. It might be best if you get used to using her in different situations.

Pyra switched back with Mythra

Rex: I mean, I don't mind at all. I'd like to learn more about you, too.

Mythra: Wh-what's that supposed to mean? I don't see how I'm any different from her, really.

Kai: Do you hear yourself? You and Pyra are like, complete opposites.

Rex: Really? You can certainly be more touchy sometimes...

Mythra: W-well, that's just who I am! What do you expect me to do?!

Rex: You see what I mean?

Mythra silently fumed for a moment, then noticed the annoyingly bright smile on his face

Mythra: What's that smile for?!

Rex: No, I just thought...it's been fun lately. A lot's happened since meeting Pyra. And now I've met you too.

Mythra: A lot of that stuff can't have been easy, though. So why the smile?

Rex: Even rough patches can be valuable experiences. Is that weird?

Mythra: Always the optimist.

Rex: Gramps gets mad at me for being TOO positive sometimes...

Azurda: More like all the time.

Another loud noise alerted the group

Rex: Ah! Was that over there?!

Mythra: Looks like it.

There was a burst of yelling from a nearby group of Ardanian soldiers, directed at a girl on a rooftop, who oddly, reminded me of Poppi

Tora: Not here... Where did she go...?!
