Kai POV

Pyra gently nuzzled into my neck. I was still slightly in shock over what had happened. I just wasn’t processing well.

Kai: I still don’t understand, why?

She looked up at me, her fiery amber eyes felt like they were staring into my soul.

Pyra: *softly* Didn’t I explain well enough?

I shook my head.

Kai: Sorry, I guess I’m still processing.

I pulled her a little closer, gently holding her to me. Almost worried she’d disappear if I let go of her.
Kai: *quietly* I don’t deserve you. But I don’t want you to leave…

Pyra: *softly* I'm not going anywhere… It's okay…

We stayed together like that, for I don't even know how long. Time passed interminably, Just leaving us on the deck as the sun continued to breach the horizon with it's light.

Kai: *quietly* I wish this could have happened differently.

Pyra nodded.

Pyra: Not the best circumstances… but it worked out didn't it?

I smiled for a moment.

Kai: I guess it did.

For good measure, I kissed her again.

Elsewhere No One's POV

We come to see our favorite band of ruffians working on their Blade storage!

Malos: Is it working?

Jin: Yes. I can hear the Blades' voices now.

Malos gestured for Jin to follow him

Malos: Come with me. Akhos has found something very interesting.

Jin: Very well.

They moved to a different room, with a holographic map of the Temperentia region

Malos: Hey, look at this.

Akhos: Temperantia… Rumor had it that Mor Ardain was conducting an excavation there. So I thought I should check it out, and, er...

Jin: It's changed a lot, but this shape… That's a Judicium Titan weapon.

Akhos: Judicium… I know that name...

Malos: Right. It was destroyed. A casualty of the Aegis War. And it's where the Flesh Eaters were created.

Akhos: Is that so...

Malos: What now?

Jin: If it is a threat to us, it should be destroyed. ...Or, we could make use of it.

Just then, Patroka and Mikhail stormed in. Well Patroka stormed, Mikhail was a little more relaxed.

Patroka: Damn it all, I can't believe this!

Akhos: Hello Patroka. And a very good day to you too. Don't tell me-

Mikhail: No, don't worry about that. We got the goods. No problem.

Akhos: Well, that's something. So why the temper tantrum?

Mikhail recounted the events at the factory

Mikhail: And that's how it went down. Long story short, we had to make a run for it.

Akhos: And you're sure it wasn't your ether field that was disturbed?

Mikhail: And that guy…

Jin: Who?

Patroka: Some dude with a big sword and a bigger ego. Called himself Kai.
