Kai POV

I woke up to the sight of Pyra snuggled up to me, but I noticed that she was shivering slightly.

Kai: *quietly* The cold really does bother you. Doesn't it?

I moved my cloak so that it draped over her, acting like a blanket. Pyra stopped shivering, and let out a soft sigh. I smiled and gently stroked her hair before I fell back asleep.

Pyra POV

I awoke to a chest. It wasn't bare, but from my proximity I could see his build through the layers of clothing he wore. I felt my face heat up, and I looked up at him, studying his face and complexion while he slept.

Pyra: He is really handsome, but he doesn't deserve someone like me... he deserves better...

I noticed that he draped his cloak over me, like a blanket.

Pyra: You're right... you are growing on me.

He stirred, and yawned softly.

Kai: *quietly* Morning Pyra

Pyra: *quietly* G-good morning.

His voice was deep. Deeper than I thought it was yesterday.

Pyra: Maybe because I can feel the rumble of his voice now. His voice is commanding, and confident, but also comforting, and kind. It's a strange combination, but it seems to work.

Kai: *quietly*  Pyra? Your face is red, are you sick?

Pyra: No!

There were a few sleepy groans around camp, but nobody seemed to have awakened.
I blushed harder.

Pyra: *quietly* I-I mean no. I'm not sick.

Kai: Okay. If you're sure.

He smiled at me, and I think if I had a heart it would have skipped a beat. His smile was so nice.

Kai: C'mon, the others will be up soon.

I nodded.

Pyra: Okay.

We got up and waited for the others.

Soon they were up and we trekked through the woods. We came up to a cliff and I couldn't suppress a gasp

Pyra: Oh my goodness. What a wonderful view!

Azurda: Spectacular indeed.

Rex: Yeah, this is great! Especially after slumming it on Gramps's back for so long!

Azurda: Hmph. It served you well enough!

Kai: (quietly) Calm down Gramps. He appreciates you.

Nia: Over there, that's Torigoth. Biggest city in Gormott. I'll accompany you as far as the city. After that, I'm afraid you're on your own.

Rex: Oh... On our own?

Nia: Of course. I would have thought even you'd know why I can't be seen with you.

Rex: Because you're supposed to be one of them?

Nia: I haven't known them very long, but you know. They're still my crew.

Rex: Your crew? Even after they tried to kill you?

Nia: That's as may be, but they're the closest thing I have to a family.

Rex: Nia...

Nia: Right! Let's go.

Kai POV

We walked down and into town, passing several buildings, shops, and homes.
