➳Alaina's POV
I saw Luke and Michael in the distance. It seems as if they were coming towards Riley and I.
Wait, they are!
"Alaina!" Michael called as he ran towards me. I crossed my arms over my chest, "What are you doing here?"
Michael paused to catch his breath, "Can Luke and I talk to you in private for a minute?" He asked.
I immediately shook my head no.
Luke sighed, "Alaina, you can't trust her."
Riley stood there dumbfounded. What is their problem with her?
"Listen Luke, I don't need you telling me what I can and cannot do. We aren't together anymore, so just leave me and my life alone. And you wouldn't even have to worry about me being friends with her if you didn't cheat on me with her, so don't you dare say anything." I said frustrated.
Luke looked hurt at my words. Michael butted in, "Alaina, you really should listen to Luke. Riley isn't who she says she is and w-"
I interrupted Michael, "And you, I can't believe you would go to him after what happened! You knew that I want to be friends with Riley and I asked you to just stay out of it. You know I really thought we were friends, Michael."
"We are friends, Alaina. That's why I'm trying to keep you from getting hurt." Michael exclaimed.
"If you were my friend, then you would've respected what I asked you and stayed out of it." That was my final words for Luke and Michael. I grabbed Riley and we walked away.
Nothing is working right. It seems like every time I get close to someone they just disappear or betray me.
Sometimes I wish that I could be someone else and I wouldn't have to deal with all of this bullshit. Or sometimes I wished that I could just go back in time and switch some things around. Maybe then my parents wouldn't be getting a divorce, I wouldn't be losing everyone that's close to me, I wouldn't have to deal with my memory lost, or I wouldn't have to deal with Luke and I's break up.
Riley unlocked the car.
I felt so guilty. Riley had to stand there and be accused of being untrustworthy. She barely even knows Luke or Michael, why would they target her like that?
"I'm sorry about that back there." I apologized to Riley.
She took her eyes off the road and looked to me, before focusing back on the road. "It's not like it's your fault. Maybe they just have me confused with someone else." Riley shrugged her shoulders.
I just noticed that Riley wasn't going in the direction of where my house was, "Where are we going?" I asked, confused.
She smirked at me, "Let's just forget about those guys and have some fun."
