➳ Alaina's POV

It was 10 o'clock and I had just finished with blow drying my hair. I just couldn't stand going to bed with wet hair. I walked to my light and turned it off and searched to find my bed in the dark.

I spent all day looking at pictures and videos of me growing up. I was with some people I recognized and some that I didn't in the pictures. I seemed really happy in every picture and video I saw. Maybe that was because in a majority of the pictures and videos I was with Luke.

I could tell that we really loved each other in them. I'm not sure if we were in love or just loved each other, but it was evident that I was happy with Luke.

It was weird I always got butterflies in my stomach when I saw the pictures/videos.

Part of me just wanted to relive every moment just to actually be able to remember and feel the love I felt in the pictures/videos. Another part of me doesn't want to get my expectations too high and ruin everything between Luke and I.

My thoughts were interrupted with something hitting my window. I peeked at the window from my bed and didn't see anyone. Maybe it was just an acorn hitting my window?

Something else hit my window again. Maybe it was another acorn?

After something else hit my window I knew it was not an acorn that was hitting my window.

I grabbed the lamp from my bedside and slowly crept towards the window. Oh god what if it's a criminal trying to kidnap me or something?

I looked out of my window to see a silhouette of someone standing in my backyard. What the hell?

I dialed the first person I could think of.

I called Luke.

"Luke someone is in my backyard. I think they are trying to kidnap me." I said all in one breath. Luke didn't even get to say hello before I blurted that out.

Luke started to laugh, "It's me, Alaina. Calm down."

I breathed in relief, "What the hell are you doing at my house at 10 at night?"

I was beyond confused, but then again Luke always makes me confused.

"Just come down. Don't change or anything and make sure you don't wake your parents." Luke said, before hanging up.

Is this boy serious? Did he seriously think I was going to sneak out of my house and meet him outside? Well, he was right because that was exactly what I was doing.

I had somehow managed to sneak out the back door without waking anyone.

"What do you want, Hemmings?" It was pretty cool out right now. I mean it was winter, but tonight it was surprisingly warm.

"Come with me." He grabbed my hand.

"No way, I was just about to go to bed." I denied his request.

"You're not making it easy for me to win back your trust." Luke pouted.

He was so cute when he pouted. He always furrowed his eyebrows and pouted out his bottom lip, but what I loved the most was the little crinkle he got in the middle of his forehead from furrowing his eyebrows.

"How long will it take?" I asked.

"Not long at all. I'll have you home by 11:30." Luke replied.

"Fine." I gave in.

Luke smiled and walked over to his car and opened the door for me. That was another thing I love about Luke, he always opened the door for me like a gentleman.

"Get ready for another adventure." Luke smirked while starting the car up.
