➳ Luke's POV

I slowly started to lean in. Alaina just stood still, at first. Then she slowly leaned in. I looked at Alaina as if asking for permission.

She just smiled. We then both proceeded to lean in.

It's happening.

I didn't even know how much I wanted to kiss her again, until this very moment.

I know that it sounds weird, but I feel like I have butterflies in my stomach. I thought only girls have the "butterflies in the stomach" feeling, not guys?

My heart beat faster with every centimeter closer we got.

And then it happened.

Our lips touched.

Every memory flashed back into my mind.

I gently grabbed her waist pulling her as close as I could, never wanting the feeling of her lips on mine to go away.

She wrapped her arms around my neck.

The kiss was passionate and blissful, just like it always was.

As I was about to deepen the kiss, Alaina pulled away.

We were both breathing harder then before.

"I-I have to g-go." Alaina said, before running down the street.

I so badly wanted to chase after her, but decided against it. She probably just needs to think. I mean everything is still different and new to her.

Maybe the kiss was a mistake.

➳ Alaina's POV

------------

I went straight into my room once I got home, not saying hi to either of my parents.

I sat on my bed and thought about what just happened only minutes ago.

The kiss.

It was so perfect. I didn't even know that I really wanted to kiss Luke. Or how much I craved to kiss him.

It was one of those cliche moments with the butterflies & the sparks.

I was trying my best not to fall for Luke, but unfortunately I think I have.

I tried to focus on just getting used to everything and getting everything back to normal.

I just pushed everything to the back of my mind and decided to take a shower.

---------

After the shower I was about to go to bed when I heard something from outside of my window.

It was a voice.

I slowly made my way to my closet and got out an umbrella. Even if my room is on the second story, someone may have climbed up.

I crouched down to the ground and slowly crawled over to the window.

I gathered all the courage I had and stood up.

I then quickly pulled the curtains back to see a dark figure standing outside on my front lawn.

I couldn't really see who the figure was because it was pretty late out and the sun had gone down.

The figure looked up towards me and waved.

I forgot to turn the light off, so he wouldn't see me. Dammit.

I slowly opened up my bedroom window.

"Hello?" I called out.

"Uh well, um hi Alaina...." The dark figure said.
