➳Alaina's POV
I've ignored all of Michael and Luke's continuous calls and texts within the past few days. They need to know that they can't just butt into my life and charge me around.
I walked around my room in hopes of finding something to do with my spare time. My parents were gone doing something with their lawyer. It wasn't like I had anyone to hang out with. All I had left was Riley and she had to go somewhere today.
I roamed through my stuff. I looked through my drawers, closet, bathroom, and anything I could think of. I couldn't find anything to do. I threw myself on my bed and sighed as I looked up to the ceiling.
The birds that were chirping outside, filled my ears.
I could go outside, but then again why would I? It's not like I will actually do anything productive outside.
I went to check my phone to see the time. As I reached over to my bedside table, I saw a box out of the corner of my eye.
It was the box that had pictures of me and Luke in it. Sitting atop of the box was my camera.
I couldn't help, but think back to Luke and I before everything came crashing down.
We were so happy. Why does everything have to go wrong?
I stopped reminiscing about Luke and I, when I heard the doorbell rang.
"Coming!" I yelled as I walked down the stairs that were in my house.

➳Luke's POV
All I've been able to think about was Alaina. She looked so angry when she saw Michael and I. The words she said to me kept replaying in my mind.
"Listen Luke, I don't need you telling me what I can and cannot do. We aren't together anymore, so just leave me and my life alone. "
The words panged through me, cutting me with every word.
There was a knock on my door. Before I could even get up to open the door, Calum walked in.
"I brought pizza and FIFA." Calum said with a smile. He held up two boxes of pizza.
----
"Fuck, I'm so full." Calum groaned, holding his stomach. He looked so sick.
"Mate, you look horrible. Are you okay?" I asked, concerned for my friend.
He nodded his head yes.
He may say he's fine, but he sure doesn't look like he's fine.
"Cal, listen if you feel sick then it's fine if you leave. I'll be fine." I explained.
Calum looked unsure at first then gave in, "I'll text you later." he said before leaving.
I cleaned up the mess me and Calum had made since he had gotten here. After I plotted myself down on the couch to rest, there was a knock on my door again.
Is today 'Everyone go to Luke's house' day or something?
I groaned as I went to open the door.
I opened the door to find a small framed girl standing in front of me, "Alaina? Are you okay?"
She didn't even have to answer. I could tell she wasn't by the expression on her face. She had tear-stained cheeks, a runny nose, and tears were gathering within her eyes.
Alaina was shaking as she cried. I just wanted to take her into my arms and relax her and reassure her that everything will be okay and that I'll protect her.
I didn't comfort her though. I didn't pull her into my chest and rub her hair and comfort her. I just stood there.
"Alaina, please tell me what happened. Are you okay? Did someone hurt you?" I asked.
She looked at me with her watered eyes. She looked so broken and hurt. I don't know what happened, but I promise to her and myself that I'll make her feel safe. That I'll keep her safe.
Her lip trembled as she whispered, "I should've listened to you."
I was so confused. What does she mean?
"Alaina, what are you talking about?"
Alaina started to cry even more. She threw herself at me and held onto me, tightly. It was odd, yet wonderful, having her wrap herself around me and hold onto me. Her small arms wrapped around my torso was a feeling that I never even knew I missed.
Her tears were soaking into my black shirt. She looked up at me as a tear fell from her eye, "It was Riley."
