➳ Chapter 16

➳ Alaina's POV

Michael, Ashton, and Calum left Luke's house about an hour ago. Me and Luke decided to watch the new ninja turtles movie.

We already had been watching the movie with the boys, then they left so me and Luke continued to watch it.

It was at the part when Mikey is singing his love song to April as they drive away.

"I love this movie." I said, laughing.

"Me too. Now what do you want to do?" Luke asked now that the movie had went off.

I guess since I couldn't talk to Luke about why I really came then now was a good time to talk.

"Well, can we actually just sit and talk?" I awkwardly asked.

Luke just smiled and faced towards me while sitting Indian style, "Sure, what do you want to talk about?"

I gulped and just decided to get straight to the point, "You know how I hung out with David, right?"

Luke just looked around the room and cleared his throat, he nodded his head yes.

"Well, did anything happen between me and him, that I had told you about while we were going out?" I'm not sure what happened with me and David, but hopefully Luke can tell me.

Luke looked hesitant about telling me what exactly he was thinking.

He rubbed the back of his neck, "Well, you did tell me about you guys before. I had known both of you and we were all friends."

"And?" I asked, still curious.

"You guys used to date." Luke replied, turning back towards to face the television.

Me and David used to go out? I knew that I had a tiny crush on him as we grew up, but I never thought I would ever date him.

Luke just looked at the black television screen.

"Did anything else happen?" I felt so nosy and horrible. I felt horrible because I mean Luke is obviously uncomfortable, but I just need to know what happened.

"Y'all went out for about a year or something, I'm not really sure how long. Then one day you found out he had cheated on you with someone else."

I interrupted Luke, "Wait, what was her name?"

"Uh, I think it was," Luke rubbed his neck again as he thought.

"Madison?" I suggested.

"Yeah, Madison!" Luke exclaimed. Luke scrunched together his eyebrows in confusion, "How'd you know that?"

"David had said something about her when we were hanging out." I shrugged.

"Oh." Was all Luke said.

I looked at the time and decided it was time to go since I had spent all morning at Luke's house.

"Well, I guess I should go now. Thanks for telling me about David and me." I said, giving Luke a hug goodbye.

"No problem." Luke squeezed me tight.

Luke walked me back to my car.

"Bye Luke." I said once we were at my car.

"Bye Alaina." Luke said, as he opened the door for me.
