➳Chapter 5

➳Luke's POV

"Luke?"

Alaina looked up at me, staring deep into my eyes.

"What were we exactly? Before the accident and everything."

Finally the question I was waiting for.

It was time.

Was it really time to tell Alaina?

I kept pondering on that question. She has only "known" me for a little while, was it right to go ahead and put everything out there?

"Let's talk about that later." I decided not to tell her yet.

"Why don't you just tell me now?" Alaina asked.

I ignored her and went outside of the treehouse.

"Where are you going?" Alaina jogged towards me.

"The park, now c'mon let's go."

We got to the park, and surprisingly, there was barely anybody.

Alaina immediately went to the slide.

She stood at the top, before she went down, and looked around.

"Rapunzel, Rapunzel! Let down your hair!" I called up to her.

She started to laugh, "Get up here you loser!"

Alaina and me, were currently swinging on the swings.

"Want to make a bet?" She turned towards me with a grin.

"What's the bet?" I asked back.

"Whoever jumps from the swing furthest wins, but the loser has to buy the winner ice cream afterwards."

I just shrugged my shoulders, "Okay, but you do know that my legs are like double the length of yours, right?" I chuckled.

"That's okay, I like some competition."

I rolled my eyes, jokingly of course.

"On the count of three, ready?"

"One!" I yelled.

"Two!" Alaina then yelled.

Then, at the same time we both yelled, "Three!"

Once I landed onto the ground I looked to see Alaina had won.

"So, I guess I'm buying you ice cream."

After I had bought Alaina her ice cream, we sat down on a park bench.

"Here." Alaina said, handing me a spoon.

"You won, it's your ice cream." I gave her back the spoon.

"I know you let me win, Luke."

"Why would I let you win? Thats stupid." I asked, trying to hide the fact that I did let her win.

"Luke, you're a horrible liar. Now eat." Alaina said, giggling.

I grinned, while eating the ice cream.

"So, are you going to tell me?"

"Tell you what?" I asked, confused.

"If we were like bestfriends or what before the accident. I really want to know, please." Alaina stuck out her bottom lip.

I sighed, "Okay, I just wasn't sure if you were ready to know or not, but I guess if you really want to know, it's time."

Alaina stayed silent.

"Well, we were really great friends and we meet during school in Junior year. We ended up talking some then about 7 months of being friends, we started dating." I explained.

Alaina didn't say anything for a while then spoke up, "Were we still dating when the accident happened?"

I nodded my head yes.

Alaina stood up and looked around.

"I have to go. I'm sorry, Luke."

She then ran away.

"Alaina!"

I am so sorry that this chapter sucks! It's supposed to be an important chapter, but I screwed it up. Also sorry the chapter is like REALLY short! Anyways I hope you guys forgive me for updating later than what I said. Please vote, comment some ideas if you have any, and share with your friends. :)
