➳Alaina's POV

"Hun, are you going to ride with Luke to the dinner, or me?" Mum asked, as she put her earrings in her ears.

"Luke said he'd drive me. Don't worry, we've got all that planned." I turned off the curling iron and walked to the closet to get my shoes.

"I just don't know, wouldn't you rather ride with me?" Mum asked.

"What do you mean?" I was so confused, didn't I just tell her I'm riding with Luke?

"I mean after the accident and everything, I just wasn't sure if you wan-"

"Are you serious? Luke didn't purposely get us in a wreck and the fact that you'd even consider that, is so fucking insane and rude."

Mum walked towards me, "I'm sorry, I just want you to be safe. I didn't mean to sound rude or it to seem like I blamed Luke. I don't blame Luke at all, I just can't help, but worry."

I gave Mum a hug.

"I know you didn't mean it like that. I'm sorry for snapping at you, I just got worked up."

Mum hugged me again.

"Well, I'm going to go ahead over to the dinner. Make sure you and Luke get there at 6. Not any later." Mum said, with a stern voice.

"Okay, okay I understand."

"Love you!" Mum yelled while walking down the stairs.

"Love you too!"

--------

I had just finished putting my outfit together and was currently waiting for Luke to get here.

As I was going to the fridge, to get something to drink, the doorbell rung.

I opened the door to see Luke in a tux.

"Oh, fancy Hemmings." I winked at Luke.

Luke blushed, but I could tell I embarrassed him too because he started playing his lipring. I've noticed that whenever he gets nervous or embarrassed he does that.

"Are you ready to go?" Luke asked.

I nodded my head yes then followed Luke to his car.

He opened up the passenger door for me.

"Luke, being such a gentleman today."

Luke rolled his eyes then shut the door.

-----

"By the way, you look beautiful." Luke said, stopping at a red light.

This time I was the one to blush.

"Thanks." I looked down at the dress.

"Which house is it?" Luke looked at the houses, trying to find the right one.

"Mum said that the address is 628 Gardener Street."

Luke continued to look until he found it.

"This house is huge." I said, with wide eyes.

"You ready to go in?" Luke asked.

I nodded my head yes.

Luke then got out of his side then opened my door for me.

It was just a small gesture, but it still made me blush.

Lately, I've been blushing a lot around Luke.

We headed towards the door.

Once we stepped onto the stairs an older woman opened the door.

"Hi, welcome come on in."
