➳Alaina's POV

I sat in the car with my parents as we drove to my house.

The doctors had decided to keep me in the hospital for two more weeks, after I woke up. They tested me about my memory and apparently I remember things from my childhood, but after that my memory is just blank.

We arrived at the house.

I entered looking at everything, just how I remember it. Except for newer pictures of me when I'm older.

I grabbed one of the pictures that I found atop of the fireplace and examined it.

It was a picture of me and that tall blonde boy, from the hospital.

He had told me his name was Luke, I just suck at remembering names.

I continued to look at the picture then I saw that me and him were holding hands in it. I guess we were close.

I then headed towards my room upstairs.

My room definitely wasn't how I remembered it.

My dolls weren't on top of the shelf and my bed comforter was no longer had flower designs on it.

Everything was more mature.

I continued to look around my room, trying to feel comfortable in it.

As I looked I found even more pictures of me and that Luke boy.

In the pictures, we were always holding hands or cuddling.

"How do you like the house and your room?" A voice asked.

I turned around to find my mum standing in my doorway. "It's nice, I like it." I answered, before looking back at the pictures.

"I'm glad you like it. What are you looking at?" Mum came next to me, taking the pictures from my hands.

"Why are we always holding hands or cuddling in the pictures? Were we close?" I asked out of curiosity.

My mum looked at me and smiled, "You two were very close, but we'll talk about that some other time. How about you go take a shower to get all those hospital germs off you and I'll go get lunch ready."

I nodded my head okay, taking the pictures and putting them back in the box I had taken them out of.

---------------

After I finished washing my dishes from lunch, my phone rang.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey, it's Luke. My parents were wondering if you and your parents would want to come over for dinner tonight."

"Sure, let me just see if my mum has anything planned." I said, walking towards my mum, who was in the living room.

"Mum, Luke's parents want to know if we'd come over for dinner." I stated. Mum nodded her head yes, then went back to reading some book.

"We'll come." I told Luke.

"Okay, be here around 6?" Luke asked.

"Okay, I guess I'll see you later." I said.

Luke said goodbye then I ended the call.

-----------

We just arrived at Luke's house. It was just a simple two story house, like mine. Nothing fancy.

I rung the doorbell then waited for someone to answer the door.

Luke opened the door. I didn't really notice how attractive he actually was until now, I guess I wasn't really paying attention before.

"Hey, come in." Luke awkwardly, welcomed us.

The inside of the house was pretty normal too, just everyday things you'd see in a house.

-----------

Luke's parents and mine left me and Luke alone, I guess to catch up on things since I really don't remember him.

My dad was talking to Luke's dad in the living room and our mums were in the kitchen.

"Wanna go up to my room?" Luke asked, motioning up the stairs.

I thought for a second. I don't really know him, honestly, but mum said we used to be close, so it shouldn't be that bad. Plus, I guess my parents trust him since they just left me here with him.

"Sure."

I followed Luke towards his bedroom. It was a normal boy's room, but I still took in every detail.

"So.. Do you want to sit down?" Luke said, sitting on his bed.

I sat down, still observing his room.

Luke started to chuckle.

"What?" I asked.

"You're observing everything, just like you did the first time you came into my room, before the accident." Luke grinned. I smiled back at him, not really sure about what to say.

Luke got up and walked towards his dresser taking a small clay jar off it.

"Remember this? We made it together last year for Christmas." Luke handed me the clay jar, it was a creamy color with light pink polka dots.

I nodded my head no.

Then handed the clay jar back to Luke.

His smile faded once I said I didn't remember it. I immediately felt guilty. I really wish I had my memory back.

"Well, we went and made it a couple days before Christmas. We both agreed it would be our adventure cup. Like we wanted to travel the world together and every place we went, we would separately write down our favorite memory from that place, then put it in the jar." Luke explained.

Luke placed the small clay jar back on his dresser, it was then that I noticed he had pictures of us together too.

I walked over to the dresser and picked up a picture.

"Before the accident and me losing my memory, were we close? At my house there are a ton of pictures of us together." I asked Luke, hoping he would tell me more than what my mum did.

Luke had a huge smile in his face, "Yeah, we were close. Really close actually. You always liked to take pictures of us no matter where we were."

I sat the picture down, "Were you like my best friend or something?" That might've been a dumb question, but I was so confused.

Luke nodded his head, "Something like that."
