CHAPTER TWENTY TWO:
After walking for a few minutes, Senjuro could already see Tanjiro's frantic waving from a distance.
A small sigh escaped the younger Rengoku's lips, as he then starts to sprint towards their direction.
Senjuro could see the Kamaboko squad which included the Kamado Siblings, Inosuke Hashibira, and Zenitsu Agatsuma.
Kanao Tsuyuri and (Y/N) Kanroji were also present, which only proved Senjuro's claims further.
She was invited. His older brother would definitely not like that idea.
"I'm so glad you made it, Senjuro!" Tanjiro came to greet Senjuro with a firm handshake.
Senjuro returned the gesture with precision and utter politeness, "I'm sorry for being late. I almost ran into trouble before I got here." He explained.
This caught (Y/N)'s interest, "Is it because of Rengoku-Sensei?" She then asked him.
Senjuro, having the same level of kindness and understanding as his brother, waved his hand dismissively at (Y/N).
He didn't want to worry her to much, not when the night hasn't even started yet.
"Don't worry about it, (Y/N). My brother can be a bit overbearing at times, but he means well. He won't be mad." Senjuro reassures her.
(Y/N) felt conflicted, but she didn't question further. She'd rather enjoy now and face the consequences later, rather than think about the consequences now and not enjoy the present.
"Hmm hmm." Nezuko broke the silence as she points out to one of the stalls that were nearby them.
It looks as if they were selling artistic looking candy, and the Kamaboko squad were enamoured. Who could resist candy?
Zenitsu came to grab Nezuko's wrist, a cheerful smile plastered on his lips as he said, "Let's go get some, Nezuko-Chan~!" Before navigating their way around the swarm of people.
"I'm going to follow them and steal their candy." Was the last thing Inosuke said, before sprinting towards the twos direction.
Tanjiro grew alarmed as his friends ran away to god knows where.
The area was packed with a lot of people, and it was a bit difficult to find your way around.
"W-wait!" Tanjiro yelped out, "Keep a close eye on Nezuko for me, Please!"
Figuring that Inosuke and Zenitsu probably didn't hear him, Tanjiro lets out a small chuckle as he rubs the nape of his neck.
"Maybe we should follow them." Senjuro suggested, earning a small nod from Tanjiro.
"We really should." Tanjiro agrees.
Turning to look at Kanao, Tanjiro smiles before going to grab the girl by the hands and whisking her away.
