CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT:
"You've been up my ass since the other day, your acting salty because I didn't listen."
The spark inside Kyojuro suddenly burst into flames.
Brows furrowed, and with golden eyes filled with the knack to temp the raging girl that stood Infront of him.
Kyojuro spoke almost rather breathlessly, "(Y/N), I don't like foul languages. Not in my classroom, please."
He looked at (Y/N)'s frame, having noticed even the tiniest mark that was left behind after that fiasco at the festival.
Eyes wide and filled with regrets, Kyojuro wondered what would have happened if he wasn't where to save her.
She wouldn't be arguing with him right now, that's for certain.
He pictured a moment in time, a possible scenario that could have happened if he hadn't followed her. She laid dead and lifeless on the ground, (E/C) eyes turned into nothing but a dark void of regret.
That was the last thing that Kyojuro wanted for (Y/N). Yes he might be acting like a total bitch at the moment, but the damage was already done.
"Then stop deflecting and answer me, please." (Y/N) started.
"Rengoku-Sensei, I really need to know why you keep breathing down my neck like a mother hen mo. It's unbecoming, honestly."
The tone of voice that she used was rather venomous and fierce, it's as if she wanted to show Kyojuro that she not amused even in the slightest.
Kyojuro wasn't able to answer, as he was preoccupied by his own circling thoughts. Looking back, he was really starting to regret not smashing the living daylights out of (Y/N)'s attacker.
He sat there quietly, acting as if he didn't care at all. That only made the small fire in the pit of (Y/N)'s stomach rage even further.
She called out to Kyojuro once more, her voice more firmly as she spoke, "Are you even listening, Rengoku-Sensei?"
No answer.
(Y/N) made the vague decision to lean in close and try snapping Kyojuro out of his thoughts.
"Rengoku-Sens-"
As her hand quickly descents to Kyojuro's shoulder, she was quickly taken aback by the swift and precise movements that he made.
Before she knew it, Kyojuro had managed to lift her up and placed her on the desk. Towering above her, he had both of his hands on her shoulder, taking both of them by surprise.
His golden eyes wide and filled with utter shock, gazing down at bemused (E/C) orbs. Kyojuro wasn't even aware of his own movements, and that itself almost scared him to the very core.
