CHAPTER NINETEEN:
Senjuro Rengoku and (Y/N) Kanroji quietly sat on the backseat of Kyojuro's car, the air tense as they drive off campus.
Kyojuro wasn't in on the idea, not liking the thought of (Y/N) walking home with Senjuro and other guys.
His actions were unnecessary, and he didn't mean to sound so harsh, but there was nothing he could do now.
Kyojuro could feel (Y/N)'s uneasiness as he watches her shift in her seat from the front mirror.
She clutched her bag and hunched it closer to her chest, a small sigh escaping her lips as her gaze trails off to the passing cars beside them.
Senjuro didn't look the least bit surprised with his older brothers actions, but he couldn't help but show his displeased look.
At that point in time, Kyojuro still didn't know what Senjuro wanted from (Y/N). He could be pursuing her, or maybe he's also taken an interest in Mitsuri's younger sister?
Either way, Kyojuro wasn't allowing it.
Kyojuro's thoughts abruptly stopped as he heard (Y/N)'s melodic voice fill the uncomfortable silence.
"Rengoku-Sensei, this is my stop." (Y/N) stated, eyeing the door handle as she waits for Kyojuro to answer.
"O-oh right!" Kyojuro quickly slowed down then dropped her off Infront of their gate, "Will you be fine on your own? You can have dinner at our place." He then offered.
(Y/N) quickly waved a hand dismissively at her Sensei, a small polite smile plastered on her lips as she shook her head, "I'm fine. Thank you for the offer though, Sensei. Have a goodnight, Rengoku-Sensei, Senjuro."
And with that, she hurried inside and shut the door.
A groan escaped Senjuro, and he quickly pinched the bridge of his nose in distaste, "Dinner at our place? Really, brother?"
Kyojuro shook his head at his little brother, turning to start the engines again. "Is that even worse than asking her to walk home this late?" He retorted.
"What is your deal? I'm trying to help you, brother." Kyojuro quickly paused at Senjuro's confession.
He turned to look at Senjuro's reflection at his front mirror, and he could clearly see the dissatisfied look his younger brother had on his face.
Kyojuro repeated, "You're trying to help me?"
"I'm trying to help you get (Y/N)'s heart, of course." He started as a matter of fact. And that left Kyojuro wondering, questions filling his mind.
"So you don't like, Kanroji-San?"
"Cut the turd, brother. I know you two have been calling each other by your first names. And yes, I like (Y/N). I like her so much, that's why I'm trying to help you."
