"I overheard Leia talking to someone, I'm not sure who. And Rey...there's no easy way to say this..." Finn said awkwardly."Rey I heard Leia say she thinks you can turn her son to the light...she wants you to make him fall in love with you..."
Rey had started to suspect this anyway.
"The worst part is she said she thinks it's too dangerous not because of him, but she's worried you'll turn because it's in your DNA."
"What?" Said Rey.
"She said something about...sith blood? Something about ancestry."
"What do you mean Sith blood? I'm loyal to the Jedi, to her." Rey said.
She stormed over to Leia's quarters.
"What do you mean Sith blood?" Rey said, anger rising in her.
"Rey...it's not what you think...how did you know I?" Leia began.
Rey gave her a look that just begged her to tell the truth. Leia sighed.
"Your father...was the son of palpatine."
Rey gasped and sat down.
"How long?" She said. "How long have you known?" Tears started to fill her eyes.
"A little after we first met, I sensed a great darkness in you. Luke saw it too."
"But...but that was such a long time ago!" Rey cried.
"I know and it doesn't mean you'll follow his path, but..."
"And this plan. You want me to make Ben fall in love with me. Is this why you've become so close to me? All this time, manipulating me!"
Objects in the room started to rise. Rey shook her head, stood up and stormed off. Leia called after her, but Rey wasn't listening. White hot fury filled her. Finn tried to stop her.
"Not now, Finn." She said, holding him back with the force. She got in the nearest ship, a small, metallic pod and flew it upwards into the stars. She hovered above the planet below, shutting her eyes. She followed her intuition. Hers and Ben's bond had to be strong enough that she could find him.
Thoughts of Leia's manipulation raced around her head. She flew in the directions her mind told her to. She followed her heart, tears streaming down her face in anger. She found herself at Kylo Ren's first order ship. She landed her small pod into a dark corner of the ship and walked in. The guards were easy enough to influence. She even got them to show her the way to Kylo's chambers.
She let herself into the black and red spacious room and found him sitting at the end of his bed.
"I told you I had nothing to say to you." Grunted Kylo, barely acknowledging that she was there in the flesh.
Rey stormed over to him as he stood up.
"I'm ready." She said, her voice shaking.
He looked startled as if he couldn't quite believe what he was hearing. Was it possible she actually wanted to join him?
"What are you saying?" He asked.
"I want to take you up on that offer," she said. "I want you to make me a sith."
"Nice try scavenger. I'm not falling for your tricks." He had ached for this moment for so long now, he struggled to believe it.
She force-flung him into the wall, pinning him down.
"I said make me a Sith!" She shouted.
He'd never seen this side of her, he liked seeing her this way, filled with the same anger and turmoil he was. He could see in her eyes that she'd shifted. He searched her feelings and everything she used to stand for was gone. She was ready.
