She got up from lying down and sat down. She looked at me, and I was stunned by her beauty. Everything seemed to slow down, and at the same time the wind hit her jet black hair.
“Tch! Close your mouth—your saliva will drip anytime soon,” she said in an arrogant voice. I shook my head and looked at the side.
She put on her cloak and jumped out on the tree.
“Wait!” I called her, and she looked at me.
“There are many monsters lurking in the woods.” I said to her, and she laughed sarcastically, “And?” she answered
“Nothing, I'm just warning you about the monsters,” I said to her, and she just ignored me and walked away
I scratched the back of my head and sat on a large branch. I get my dagger and swing into the air, “Why do you choose me?” I asked the dagger as if it would answer me, “Just help me out— I'll prove to you that I deserve you.” I said, and I jumped to the tree and ran into the lake.
I was amazed at how the lake glistened as the sun hit the small waves because of the strong wind hitting it.
I just saw it closer, and it's even more beautiful than I thought.
Napatulala na lamang ako sa ganda ng lawa—I go to the near tree. To shelter from the heat of the sun, I was leaning against a tree when suddenly a ball of light appeared in the tree.
Hindi na ako nagugulat kung ano man ang makita ko rito; this is a magical land inside the wall, with many creatures that I never thought really existed.
“Kenji,” the light ball spoke, and my eyes widened.
I took a step back when I heard the light ball speak to me, “I'm not dreaming, right? Did I hear you talking?” I asked the light ball—if someone sees me, they will think that I'm crazy.
“Two souls in one body,” the light ball spoke again. I frowned my forehead at what I heard narinig ko rin na sinabi 'yan ni Elizabeth sa'kin.
“What do you mean by that?” I asked.
“Ikaw ang magiging dahilan para sa malaking digmaan ng kasaysayan sa lahi ng mga bampira,” the light ball answered me, Mas lalong kumunot ang noo ko sa kanyang sinabi.
“Bakit ako?” I asked confusedly, “Curse child,” and the light ball answered. I wanted to ask more, but the light ball suddenly disappeared in front of me. I looked around, but the light ball completely disappeared out of nowhere.
Napaupo nalang ako sa lupa habang hawak-hawak ang aking noo, my instructor is right—it's like a puzzle that we can't complete without the missing piece, and the piece is my true parents.
I was just sitting leaning against the big tree looking at the flowers under the sun, and until now I'm still thinking about what the light ball meant.
Did the light ball refer to me as the cursed child? It's impossible to happen—hindi ako ang anak ni Lauren.
Baka nagka mali lang siya ng sinabi, but half of me believes that if I'm the curse child, I'm the son of Lauren, but what is the meaning of two souls in one body? What the fuck, It's driving me crazy.
I messed up my hair and just stomped my feet out of frustration. I looked at the sky, and the sky turned bright orange. I decided to go back to my dorm, nag mamadali akong umalis, and I crossed the road back out of the forest.
When I successfully got back to my dorm, I was surprised to see Elizabeth sitting on my bed.
“Where have you been?” she calmly asked.
“Practice.” I said to her and sat in the corner of my window.
“You will move to the special class now.” She said and stood up, looking at me.
“Special class? Why?” I confusedly asked her.
“To train you more, kung gusto mo naman mamatay agad, ayos lang na mag stay ka rito,” she said, and she raised her right eyebrow at me while crossing her arms.
Is this lady serious? “Kailan ba ako lilipat?” I asked her.
“Now,” and she answered.
“Wait, why now?” I asked
“Then wait until the blood moon, and you'll get killed because you're stupid, refusing to move into special class.” She said, I frowned my forehead at what she said.
“Hey, slow down, why are you acting like that?” I asked her, “Me? Angry? I'm not kid— get your ass out here and follow me,” she said, and she walked towards the door.
“Did I say angry? Is she dreaming?” I said to myself, “I can hear you.” She said this while still not facing me.
I followed her quietly, crossing the corridor. “Your schedule will be changed,” she said while walking.
I just nodded. Some of the races were looking at me while I passed them by—I just ignored them. But when we passed the big mirror, I immediately stopped and looked closer. Why did my hair have white strands? I'm not that old to have white hair already.
I felt like someone was staring at me, so I immediately looked at Elizabeth, who's now glaring at me. “Oh, I'm sorry,” I said and half ran to her— she just started to walk.
Kanina pa kami nag lalakad “Malayo pa ba kami?” I asked myself as I followed Elizabeth, After a while, we arrived at the big building, and I frowned—why wasn't it on the map that was given to me? The whole building was full of glass. I immediately went to the wall of the building to look at my hair, with white strands spreading.
