Serious and then laugh? This old hag is insane.

“Mag simula na tayo,” she said with seriousness in her voice. Fast-shifted attitude, eh? 

She raised her hand and pointed at me with her finger. She was whispering some words that I couldn't understand, and suddenly she shot me with some lighting.

Sunod-sunod na atake ang kanyang ginawa, I just dodged her attack, I hide in the back of an apple tree.

“Hey! Slow down, you can kill me with that attack,” I shouted.

My heart was beating fast, I was panting, and her attacks were making me sweat. She really wanted to kill me.

“Akala ko ba ay pag sasanay lang? Bakit parang gusto mo na yata akong patayin,” I shout while gasping.

“Gan'yan ba ang sasabihin mo sa kalaban mo kapag nasa ganitong sitwasyon ka?” She spoke sarcastically and set a fire above me. I immediately crawled inside the hut.

“Lumabas ka diyan Kenji, hindi sa lahat ng oras ay p'wede kang tumakbo,” she said and set a fire inside the hut—not just an ordinary fire, but a blue fire.

Fuck—I don't know what to do, my adrenaline is suddenly awake. I closed my eyes, concentrating. Black smoke suddenly came out of my hand and ate all the blue fire surrounding me.

“Magaling Kenji,” she said while clapping her hands and walking toward me.

“But not all the time you can use that ability that only you, had—you can die anytime, and your other soul will conquer your body,” she said, holding my hands. She look at my finger, and there's a black nerves came out just a little nerves but you can easily noticed.

“If you will continue using that curse ability, these black nerves will spread throughout your body, and if this will happen, your other soul will conquer your body, at hindi mo na ito mababawi pa,” she explained and pinched my finger with her long nails, the blood scattering with black on it.

She continued to pinch until the black nerves dissappeared.

“Sa ngayon ay p'wede ko pa itong makuha dahil siguro ay hindi naman gaano ka lakas ang nagamit mong pwersa, mag iingat ka sa pag gamit nito sa susunod,” she said and went to the sink to wash her hands with my black blood.

I followed her in the sink, just looking at her while she was washing her hands.

“So I'm the cursed child, tama ba ako?” I asked her, even though I already knew the answer, I just wanted to hear it from them.

“Ako si Helenora ang kakambal ni Helena, ako ang nag alaga kay Lauren simula no'ng ipinanganak sila,” she started to tell me who is she, and she wiped her hands on the clean white cloth.

I just followed her, and she sat down on the wooden chair. I sat in the chair in front of her, focusing on what she said.

“Si Lauren ay biniyayaan ng kakaibang taglay na tanging ang kanyang ninuno lamang ang meron nito, siya ang itinadhana na mag mana ng korona ngunit sa isang pag kakamali nagbago ang lahat,” she said looking at my eyes, and I just stared at her green eyes—brown eyes turn into green and at the same time her appearance changing again.

“She fell in love with a mortal, right? Ang ama ko, na pinatay niya,” I finish her sentence.

“Hindi niya ginustong patayin ang ama mo, she wanted to save him,” she said. I furrowed my brows—but Elizabeth said that Lauren killed my father.

“Save?  From what?  Elizabeth says, Lauren killed my father without hesitation.” I said to her, and the corner of her lips rose.

“Siguro ay 'wag na muna natin pag usapan ito,” she said and stood up.

I followed her with my eyes until she got out of the door, I was still confused. Why had Elizabeth said that Lauren killed my father without hesitation? In the middle of my thoughts, Helenora called me, and I immediately ran towards the backyard.

“Mag sibak ka ng kahoy,” she said. I frowned at what she said.

“You said that I'm here because I need to train, then why do you want me to chop wood?” I confusedly asked her, and her right brows rose, and she immediately walked towards me and hit me in the head.

I held my head where she hit me, rubbing my head while looking at her.

“Lahat ng ipapa gawa ko sa'yo ay parte ng pag sasanay, walang pero-pero,” she said with bossiness in her voice. I get the ax and start to chop the wood in front of me.

This will be difficult to chop because this ax is not that sharp.

She went to the hut and got a basket with her cloak.

“Maiwan na muna kita, kahit na anong mangyari ay huwag kang lalabas sa munti kong tarangkahan.” She left safekeeping to me and put her cloak on, even though I'm confused, I just nodded, and she got out of her small wooden gate, and she immediately disappeared.

I'm still here chopping the wood. I still didn't chop the one piece of wood that I picked up a while ago where Helenora is still here. I'm already sweating, but not even a little crack. I'm cursing while chopping this piece of wood. The ax is not that sharp to cut these woods.

“What's wrong with that old hag?” She gave me a dull ax that even my fingers were will not cut of this dull ax. 

I tried to put my fingers on the ax and feel the blade, and in just a snap, my fingers had blood, it cut my finger. I immediately threw away the ax because of the pain.

I looked at my finger that had blood, sobrang hapdi nito, how did that blade cut me if it is not that sharp? I get the ax and start to chop the woods again. I know that old hag is just testing me, this is part of my training.
