I'm still dumbfounded by what I discovered—I'm a vampire. So who are my parents? I'm looking at my hands, which are almost red with blood because I destroyed almost all the blood in the blood bag earlier.

“What happened?” Elizabeth asked me as she entered my room without knocking.

I didn't answer her—I just looked at my hands, still wondering— If I am a vampire, bakit dati ay hindi naman ako natutuksong uminom ng dugo? My former parents always had fresh blood from the deer that they got in the hunt from outside the wall.

“I know you have a lot of questions in your mind right now, you can ask me—para maliwanagan ka kahit papaʼno,” Elizabeth said, and she sat down beside me, caressing my back.

“Royal Blood,” I said out of nowhere.

She stopped caressing my back and looked at me. “What do you want to know?” she said, and she stood up, walking toward the window, looking at the void.

“Tell me about the royal family, the royal bloods, tell me about them,” I said desperately.

“Lauren falls in love, and they hide it from us.” Elizabeth said she seemed to remember every detail about what happened.

“Lauren will inherit the crown, but she left without a word, and she lives far away.”

“When we found out that they had a child, the King and Queen wanted to kill Lauren's son.” I frowned at what she said.

“Bakit nila gustong ipapatay ang kanilang apo?” I asked her.

“Lauren's son is cursed, Kenji, he will be the reason for the war between all races in the future,” she said and looked at me.

“I don't understand anything,” I said to her, and she smiled at me.

“Little by little, you will understand Kenji,” she said, and came to me to tap my shoulder.

“Madami pa akong gustong malaman,” I said to her when she walked towards the door.

She stopped and turned around to face me.

She nodded and walked towards the window. She sat down at the edge of my big window.

“Their love is against our law, against us,” she said initially and looked at me.

“Bakit?” I asked her confused.

“She fell in love with a mortal, Kenji, Lauren fell in love with a mortal that is strictly forbidden in our race,” she said and looked outside.

“The mortal got killed by Lauren, but Lauren didn't mean it— it was an accident,” she said, looking at the void.

“Nasaan si Lauren?” I asked her and stood up.

“Lauren was buried alive when she was taken captive by the black witches,” she sadly said.

“What about their son?” I asked her looking her eyes.

“Walang nakaka alam kung nasaan ang anak nila Lauren—two souls in one body,” she said, controlling the vase on my side table that she didn't touch.

I was focused on the vase, which is now moving. “How did you do that?” I asked her, amused.

“Telekinesis, an ability to move objects at a distance by mental power, you're a vampire Kenji, you can do it too, tuturuan ka ng eskwelahan na ito tungkol sa kung anong meron ka,” she said, the vase floating around her hand.

“But I heard that only royal blood can have this ability,” I said to her.

“Anong tawag sa'yo? Hindi ba at sinabi na ni Helena na may dugo kang bughaw? — palaisipan para sa amin kung sino ang magulang mo” she said and looked at me.

I'm just looking at her while wondering who my parents really are.

“There are a lot of things that you don't know, Kenji— from where you came, there's another world, the world of mortals,” she said, and the vase broke into pieces.

“Nang galing ako sa mundo ng mga tao” I said to her

“Nagkakamali ka, nang galing ka sa mundo ng mga hunters, napapaligiran ng nagtataasang pader kagaya rito” She said and walked towards me. She held my temple, and images flashed into my mind.

“Iyan ang mundo ng mga mortal Kenji, maganda ngunit delikado, lalo na sa kagaya natin, if we conquer their world, we will win against them, but if one vampire will go to their world, masyadong mapanganib kung malaman nila na isa kang bampira,” she said and took her hand back.

Tulala akong nakatingin sa kawalan, madami pa talaga akong hindi nalalaman, “What about the full moon? Am I safe here?” I asked her desperately.

“You're part of the full moon, Kenji— you're going to find your prey, kasi kung hindi ka papatay ikaw ang magiging pagkain nila,” she told me and smiled terribly.

I pulled back my shoulder that she was holding— she smiled at me and walked away, heading for the door.

“Rest, Kenji— there are many more days for what you want to know,” she said and left my room.

I stood up and went to the window— the full moon was coming.

How could I survive that night? Hindi ako natatakot na baka ay gawin nila akong pagkain— I'm afraid that I might be suddenly killed without a chance to fight back.

I looked at the students who were on the battle field to train.

I have to learn, I have to train, and I can't just die without fighting.

I'm eager to learn how to fight and how to use this ability of mine. Kung meron man—Kiera will surely laugh at me if I just die here without fighting.

I clenched my fist while looking at the students practicing on the ground.
