Bumalik na ako sa kinakaupuan ko, naglalaban pa rin sila—If she continues to vomit blood, she may die.

“Saan ka galing,” Helenora asked me as I sat down on my seat.

“Umihi,” I answered her, ayoko munang sabihin ang nalaman ko, I need to be the one to defeat the woman for me to get her ability.

It's not just the ability that she has— it's obvious that she even sold her soul just to have that ability.

She murmured some spell while attacking her opponent— black spell, the symbol on her neck smoke, tama nga ang hinala ko.

She made a strong attack, her opponent almost lost consciousness from what she did, she quickly took her dagger and plunged it into the heart of her opponent, a smoke came out of the man's body and it entered her, she succeeded to get the ability.

Nag hiyawan naman ang mga nanunuod, she stood up wiping her mouth with her blood, she looked in my direction, What are you thinking, lady.

She walked to the edge of the stadium for her wound to be treated. I just looked at her while she was walking. What are you thinking now? The emcee started calling out who would fight next.

The second fight started, it ended quickly— the fight had barely started, and in an instant, the opponent's head was cut off. I was breathless at the speed of what he did, I almost couldn't follow his movements.

Pangatlo, Pang-apat, Pang Lima, Pang Anim, “Shadow,” the emcee called the name.

At first, I didn't even know it was my name, Helenora gave them a fake name of mine.

“Maari nang umakyat sa ring ang susunod na manlalaro, ang may hawak na numerong 1—shadow,” the emcee announced again. I looked at Helenora, who was now looking at me boredly.

Inabot ko nalang ang kamay ko sa kanya at nakipag kamay, she's still smiling and shaking my hand nonstop, I narrowed my eyes to her, her hands keep tighter gripping my fingers, and I even felt that she's eager to break my bones on my fingers.

“Pasensya na po,” she said in a manner and still smiling— hindi katiwa-tiwala ang batang 'to my fingers twisted. I just endured the pain when she moved back, and I put my fingers back in order that were tilted by the tightness of her grip.

I looked at Helenora, who's now looking at me intensely, like she's warning me to keep my guard up and not trust easily.

I just nodded, and the emcee started to say what illusion we get.

The illusion that was given to us was a forest, the illusion quickly spread throughout the arena, and I immediately hid in the trees.

I quietly hid at the top of the tree while watching the kid walk as if she were running while she was humming.

“Tagu-taguan maliwanag ang buwan—taya!” the kid jumped on the tree where I was hiding and pointed me out with her little finger, with a wide smile on her face, I was stunned to move, my eyes widened looking at her.

Her eyes turned all black with a smile on her face. “Taya kana kuya,” she said with coldness in her voice.

My mouth hangs open, I'm still dumbfounded, and my brain can't process what happened.

Shit, what should I do?  She's still looking at me.

“Kuya taya,” she said again. I shook my head. Should I attack her? 

This time she jumped on the tree and ran away. I'm confused. “Kuya, taya” she said while running until she's gone from my sight. Should I chase her? 

Tumatakbo ang oras kailangan ko na siyang matalo, I shook my head once again and jumped in the tree and chased her. Nalilito akong hinahanap siya. It looks like we're just playing here, and I need to win.

I closed my eyes to see the thermal heat of her body. I saw her not far from where I was standing, and I quickly ran to her. But she wasn't here. I immediately bowed down when I felt someone was going to hit me on the head at my back.

“Oops,” she said while holding a big sword. How can she lift that heavy sword with that small body?

I could hardly breathe what she did while she was still smiling, you would think it was normal for her to do that.

I don't want to hurt her, but I have to win.

I still can't imagine what ability she has, she plays with the sword in her hand while looking at me and smiling.

“Tagu-taguan maliwanag ang buwan, wala sa likod, wala sa harap pagbilang kong sampu nakatago na kayo isa—, dalawa—, tatlo—, apat—” she sings again while spinning the sword in her hand.

“Lima—” shit, should I run? “Anim—” she was teasingly looking at me and smirking, Oh shit, I ran as fast as I could and hid in the trees.
