As soon as I got home, I went to my room and changed into cotton shorts and a t-shirt. It was nice to finally be back in my own clothes.
"Hey!" Amy grinned, walking in without knocking. "You did great today! Proud of you."
I shrugged. "It wasn't hard. I thought your friends would be hardcore thugs or something. They're...actually kind of nice. I mean, Calum kind of weirds me out but other than that."
"I know, they seem like total assholes." she laughed, walking over and laying down on my bed. "But they're the exact opposite. Like Vi, for instance. She smiles all the time. I think she's the happiest person alive."
I nodded in agreement and sat down next to her. "She's adorable."
"You'll get to know them better. Trust me, I can tell they like you already." she grinned.
"Are you sure? Michael didn't even say one word to me."
"He's just shy."
"He's like, seven feet tall and has red hair."
"Okay, he's shy around girls." she corrected. "So what do you think about Calum and Luke? They seem to like you a lot, especially Luke."
I blushed and look at her. "Luke likes me?"
She shrugged. "He didn't say it directly but he kept going on about how Ross was hitting on you and being pervy. He hated that."
I shrugged. "I-I guess he's nice."
She scoffed and rolled her eyes. "You think he's cute, I can see it when you look at him. And you're blushing."
"Fine, he's cute. Happy?"
She nodded. "Very. Now I know why you followed him down the hall."
I looked at her and just felt my cheeks heat up even more. "How'd you know about that?"
She shrugged and smirked. "I saw him go down there and you scurry down that way a few minutes later. Did you suck his dick?"
"What?! No!"
She sighed. "Alice, you really should've."

Our mom went out to dinner with her new coworkers in celebration of her new job, so it was just our dad and us for dinner. He ordered Chinese food to avoid having to cook anything.
"So school was okay?" he guessed, eating some noodles with his chopsticks.
I nodded. "Yeah, it was fine."
"Did you make any friends?" he asked.
I shrugged. "Sort of."
"Sort of? What does that mean?"
"It means I just hang out with Amy's friends, dad." I explained, shrugging again.
"Why don't you make your own friends? You two are two different people after all. You guys have always liked doing your own things and expressing your individuality."
Tell that to Amelia.
"It's easier for now." I sighed.
He nodded. "Alright, alright, I'll stop hounding you about it. As long as you're happy and being yourself, that's all that matters."
I subtly looked at Amy. She looked down at her takeout box.
