I woke up to another bad headache and someone playing with my hair again. This time, though, I at least remembered immediately what happened and I didn't feel drunk, either. I rubbed my eyes and felt someone shift next to me on the bed.

Wait, when did I get into bed?

I slowly turned my head to the right and saw Amy looking at me with a soft smile on her face. I relaxed and rolled onto my side as well.

"Feel better?" she asked me, tucking some of my hair behind my ear.

I nodded. "Yeah, for the most part. What happened?"

"As far as I know, you just-"

"No, not with me," I interrupted. "with Luke."

She sighed. "Well, he beat the crap out of Ross."

My eyes widened. I was surprised he actually went and did that. I told him not to so many times because I knew he'd get in trouble.

"What happened to him?" I asked worriedly. "Is he okay?"

"Calm down," she chuckled. "he's in the living room. His knuckles are just a little beat up."

I nodded and breathed a sigh of relief. "Okay, good."

Amy took my hands and looked me in the eyes, turning serious. "Al, I know how you are with relationships and stuff and I can tell that you're starting to really like Luke."

I blushed and look away. "No I don't. I think he's cute, sure, but I don't like him. I wouldn't date him. I like him like I like Calum."

"Your nose twitched." she told me.

I looked at her. "What?"

"It does that when you lie. And you were looking away. I know you like him," she sighed. "and I know he likes you too. I don't want to stress you out even more but I just thought you should know. If you're not going to go through with this, I'd stop whatever feelings you have now."

I pulled my hands out of her's and groaned quietly, shoving my face in the pillow. "He'll think I'm leading him on. I wasn't even thinking about it!"

"I know you weren't," she said, rubbing my back. "you forget sometimes, I know. Speaking of, did you bring your pills with you?"

I propped myself up and closed my eyes. "Fuck, I forgot them at home."

Amy rolled out of bed and fixed her shirt. "Alright, I'll get Ashton to drive us-"

"Can Calum drive us instead?" I asked her.

She looked at me like I had gone crazy. I could hardly believe I asked that but I knew I told Calum and I didn't know how to tell Amy I told so why not just have Calum blurt it out and give her shit for lying and making me lie too? Sure, Amy might be pissed at me but at least it would be done and over with.

"Are you for real right now?" she checked.

I nodded and sat up, sitting crisscross. "Yeah. If you don't mind."

She nodded slowly and started to leave the room. "Yeah, I'll go ask him."

I stayed in bed for a little bit, thinking about things - mostly Luke and what I was going to do now - before noticing the water bottle on the nightstand. I took it, getting up and leaving what looked to be Ashton's room. I walked down the hall and into the kitchen, grabbing the aspirin bottle that was left on the counter. I put two pills in my hand before popping them in my mouth and washing them down with some water.

"Hey," Michael's soft voice came from the entrance of the kitchen. He scratched his neck and watched me. "how do you feel?"

"Okay." I breathed, putting the cap back on my water bottle. "Thanks for...helping me. And um, I'm sorry for crying on you."
