It wasn't long after my conversation with Luke about flirting with Amy and me that we heard a door close. We went out into the hall to investigate and saw Calum trudge out of his room and down the hall, fixing his hair back into his beanie.
"Up already?" Luke asked.
"I couldn't get back to sleep." he grumbled before eyeing me. "How do you feel?"
"I'm good." I assured him.
He jerked his head back down the hall. "Can we talk for a sec?"
From the corner of my eye, I saw Luke frown slightly. After I just promised him I didn't have a crush on Calum, this didn't seem very reassuring.
I looked up at him and smiled. "I'll meet you in the pool house, okay?"
He sighed and scratched the back of his head. "Yeah, whatever."
He walked down the hall and disappeared down the stairs. I watched him go before turning back to Calum who was smirking at me with an eyebrow cocked.
"What?" I asked.
"Liking the view there, Ackerman?" he questioned.
I groaned quietly. "Don't even start."
"Do you remember what happened last night?" he asked me, his face becoming serious. "Like, when you woke up? Do you remember what you said to me?"
I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. "Mostly, yeah. It's all kind of blurry but I know I told you everything. I'm still not exactly sure it was the best decision of my life."
Calum smiled softly and placed his hands on my shoulder. "Alice, babe, you can trust me."
I glanced down at his hand on my left shoulder before looking back up at him. "Did you just call me babe?"
He shrugged. "I don't think I stuttered."
"Calum, Luke thinks there's something going on between us." I told him, taking a step back so his hands would fall to his sides. "I told him it's nothing but now he doesn't believe me. Please don't make it worse."
"Why doesn't he believe you?"
"Because you wanted to 'talk privately' and I guess that's code word for 'I have morning wood, can you fix it for me' or something. You saw how he looked before he left."
Calum giggled quietly. "Aw, he's jealous. Lukey has a crush on you too!"
I shushed him, covering his mouth quickly. Then his words sunk in and I blushed. "Do you really think so?"
He nodded before licking my hand.
I made a disgusted face and pulled my hand away, wiping it on his shirt. "Ew, Calum, what the hell?"
"Better get used to a dude's spit," he told me, starting down the hall. "Luke really likes making out."

Calum and I went to the pool house and hoped Michael and Ashton were already awake. In the living room sat Luke and Violet, the two of them watching TV and eating cold pizza. Calum sat down on the other side of Violet and I went to sit on the arm of the couch by Luke. He scooted over as much as possible so I could actually sit next to him.
"Are they still asleep?" Calum asked, grabbing a slice of pizza from the cardboard box on the coffee table in front of us.
Violet nodded. "Out like a light."
"I hope Amy still has her clothes on for her sister's sake." Calum chuckled.
"Ashton doesn't have sex with her when she's drunk and you know it." Violet sighed. "Stop trying to make Alice uncomfortable."
