Calum brought me to the hospital after school since Ashton was at work. Calum wanted to stop by the store and grab some flowers even though Alice was going home today; he said he wanted to do something nice.
"Well, well, well," Calum smirked as we entered Alice's hospital room, "what do we have here?"
Luke and Alice were asleep in the bed, her head resting on his shoulder while his head was leaning on top of her's. It was cute but there was still that little bit of me that still hated Luke for what he said before and wanted to smack him upside the head and tell him to scoot.
"Lucky your parents didn't show up, huh?" Calum chuckled, setting the flowers down on the table by Alice. "Your dad probably would've whacked the shit out of him and told him to get out."
"Kind of what I wanna do now." I mumbled, taking a seat by Alice.
"Why?" he asked.
I shrugged. "Because of what he said to her. He could easily break her with one word. Alice is too forgiving and because he's the only boy who knows about her but still likes her, she'll just fall recklessly and won't care about consequences. He could break her heart and her confidence at any moment."
"Do you think he would, though?" he quizzed, balancing on the wooden arm. "C'mon, you told me how he looked at her the morning after the party."
"No," I sighed, "but you know how his temper is. He could get mad over something and just say something he doesn't mean."
Before Calum could respond, Violet and Michael walked through the door, Vi holding a bouquet of flowers in her hand. She grinned at us and then silently awed at Luke and Alice.
"Oh, before I forget," Violet said quietly, scurrying over to us and setting her flowers beside Calum's, "my mom wants all of us over for dinner tonight if that's okay. She really wants to meet Alice."
I shrugged. "I doubt my parents had anything special planned."
"Speaking of," Michael began with a smile, "had your dad said anything about Alice's new boyfriend?"
"Well, according to Alice they're not actually 'official' yet," I laughed, "but no, he hasn't."
Luke stirred in his sleep and slowly sat up, rubbing his neck. He blinked his eyes open and looked over at us. "You guys are loud."
"Sleeping Beauty's still out so we can't be that loud." Calum pointed out.
"Anyway," Luke said before yawning and stretching, "dinner at the Carp's sounds great."

Finally getting those terrible needles out of my arms felt like I was being released from prison or something. It was amazing. I wanted to go to hospitals as little as possible because I seemed to be visiting doctors a lot in my life to make sure my medication was doing its job and all that jazz.
"I wanna stop by home and get changed if I'm gonna be going to dinner at Violet's." I said, hoping someone wouldn't mind taking me.
Calum whined. "Violet's is the other way."
"I'll take you." Luke shrugged. "I don't mind."
After getting the release forms taken care of, Luke brought me out to his red sports car and started driving toward my house. It was a little odd being there when it was just the two of us but I was sure nothing would happen. It wasn't like we'd just randomly decide to have sex with each other.
