Michael and I skipped fifth period so we could talk. He was already filled in by Ashton and Violet on what happened while he was high at my house but I still wanted to know what happened with him and why he was like that.

We walked outside to the football field and sat on the bleachers together. We stared over at the chain link fence topped with barbed wire that we'd climbed over so many times during gym when no one was paying attention. We'd also used it for last ditch efforts to leave school but those were different stories for a different time.

"So Alice isn't sad or anything?" Michael asked.

I shook my head. "She cried but it was because she was frustrated. Deep down, I think she's sad but right now she's just angry at him. I don't blame her, I'm angry too."

"I think he's just shocked right now but he'll come around." he nodded.

I let out a deep breath and looked at him. "What was with you yesterday?"

He looked back at me. "What do you mean?"

"You were high as fuck, dude." I told him. "Ash said you didn't do it to yourself. So who drugged you?"

He shrugged. "No one; nothing happened."

"You were on molly, Michael. That's not a joke, that shit kills people and you know that so I know you didn't take it willingly."

He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "I went to meet Ross to talk about what he did and to get him and his shitty friends to lay off, and-"

"Pause and rewind; Ross has friends?" I asked.

He chuckled and nodded. "Those sleezeballs that sit in the back of the cafeteria with him. Anyway, I was trying to work out a deal with him and I guess he drugged my drink when I wasn't paying attention. I never made any sort of deal with him but I didn't see him here today anyway."

"Probably because he thought you would've told us by now." I guessed, narrowing my eyes as I starred back at the fence. "I can't believe he drugged you!"

"Keep it down." he hissed.

"No one's even around!" I shouted too loud just to show my point. "You have to tell the police."

"They can't prove I was drugged, they'll just think I took it." he stated. "I can't tell anyone. It's over, okay?"

"You're not going to see him alone anymore." I told him like a mother would tell her son that he can't go see his best friend anymore because they're in middle school now and said friend started doing pot. "You take Ash or Calum or me."

Michael's phone beeped and he took it out of his pocket, reading the screen and sighing as he ran a hand through his hair. "It's him. He wants me to go see him tomorrow the period before lunch. Out here."

"I'm going with you." I stated. "He's not getting away with the shit he's pulling anymore."

"What if he tries to do it with you?" he asked worriedly.

I chuckled. "It's silly how long you've known me yet you still think I can't handle myself."
